easy to explain, we got whupped by a better football team because we took a raw hot dog to a machete fight
never been a huge Barrett fan, he just cannot pass the ball, biggest break Urban Meyer got was when he got hurt and Jones came in
poor offensive line play, a RB who is a grade C Pepe Pearson, WRs who cannot separate consistently, and a QB who underthrows his WRs when they do separate
good news is we overachieved this year and got some good experience for next year, we are a ridiculously young football team
I think Clemson whups Alabama. I'm getting all over them in the Finals.

Hope Clemson did not shoot their wad vs OSU. All of bucks question marks were brutally exposed .....offensive line, no power rb, lack of adequate downfield passing game and poor fg kicking. Lots of opportunities for people to step up on the offensive side. Also, at times, have to question play calling . Confident Urban will take care of it. Michigan fans are gloating but at least we were there. Good assessment. Offensively, all cards are on the table and If I'm a position coach on the offensive side of the ball, I would be a bit nervous about now. We are playing in the Big Ten, for some reason we have been recruiting a lot of shifty, finesse RB's that can't blow through a shoulder tackle, like a Zeke or a Scarboro. There is tough yardage to be had, even when the crease is slim, when you have the right man carrying the ball. That is lacking and a strong, physical back can be a more effective blocker. Yesterday, there was effectively, no running game to set-up the play action pass, and no passing game to set-up the run. J.T. had no where to go when he decided to tuck and run. Clemson defense effectively sealed the gaps and turned the plays inside. As complete and dominating performance as you'll ever see.

Good analysis Torch. I'm not overt to a new QB and an upgrade to Weber. The little I watched of Burrow I liked. We sure could use a 6'2 220 fast RB I thought Weber really stunk it up last night. Drop pass and then 2 fumbles.. Essentially did nothing. His 2nd half fumble killed any momentum we sought. Our OL got abused all night. They need Warriner back to his old spot. We have two 5 star studs coming in that should help. They will hire a competent OC and things should get better.

Its hard to fairly evaluate the play calling and skill positions until the offensive line improves to the point where there are some holes to run through and some time to throw. O-Line has been a problem all season.

Urban made Warriner the co-offensive coordinator to get him more money to keep him at Ohio State. If you take that job away from him to make him O-line coach he takes a significant pay cut and you lose him.

i don't have an issue with any play calling, anytime you put a young Oline up against an older and more experienced Dline you are going to look awful on offense
tough loss but hey, sometimes you just get whupped by a better team, that's what happened to us...hats off to Clemson, they won the game, we didn't lose it

the real bummer to me is the loss to MSU last year, when we were LOADED
no one wants to hold Barrett accountable for an inexcusable suspension in the weeks leading up to MSU in 2015 but i do...he lost out on reps he needed and all everyone talks about is what a great leader he is...great leaders don't get suspended for bupkis
he has regressed as a runner, he took some really bad sacks vs UM and he took some really bad sacks vs CLEM
but despite all that, I'm still mainly a Barrett fan...but I'm never been a big Mike Weber fan, not as a lead back...he isn't big enough to be a power back and he isn't shifty enough to be a scat back...I did love the hit he put on old dude last night but not for long because before the play was over he had fumbled again

Ohio State got bailed out by Mariah Carey's performance of being the most embarrassing thing on New years eve.
