Ontario scored a lot of points off a press. They only made 5 of 10 free throws, Highland was 12-14. Twice they fouled a 3-point shooter. Quan Jackson who led Ontario in scoring with 10 in the 1st half, didn't play in the 2nd due to a deep thigh bruise.

Norwalk lost to Lex by 9 and the probable NOL champion lost to Elyria by 30? If so this pretty much cements the final season as one of the WORST NOL bball campaigns in YEARS... Not a good way to go out

I kind of agree and the SBC doesn't look to be very strong either other then Perkins!?!? Haven't heard much of any other strong SBC teams. As fare as a tournament run at the end I see Sandusky and Perkins to make a little noise.

As for the NOL with 2 state champions in basically the last decade and many other strong teams during this period this year is waaaaay down...

Huron looked good and very quick the one time I saw them play. I don't know if they can play with Perkins and Vermilion, but I could see them ending up somewhere in the top 3 in the SBC.

SBC is better than NOL this year in bbal. Vermilion, Perkins, and Edison are good teams. I think vermilion beats anyone in the nol. Sandusky is okay but they lack size and Elyria was Good.

I didn't realize Vermillion was in the SBC with Perkins and Edison. I knew in 2017 they are playing the bay division in football but they are the first ones to get moved up in basketball to the lake division in 2017?!?! I'm surprised Shelby didn't get moved up and keep Vermillion in the bay division.

Shelby is in the middle division for football only. They are in the big division for everything else.

Vermilion is a basketball school and will probably win the league but not before some good battles with Perkins and Edison. Well-coached team there.

I thought I heard Vermilion is moving to the lake for basketball!?!? My understanding is football is different than all other sports because three teams in the full league don't have football. Six per division in football. Shelby moves from the middle division to the large for all other sports to make seven. I don't know exactly how the small and middle divisions shake out for non-football sports. There are also seven in each, but someone else will have to fill us in on who goes where.

This is nearly an annual post which is disproven nearly each and every year. I watched Norwalk play Perkins to a loss in OT. Edison has played no one and based on what are you saying they are a good team in relation to an NOL squad while I agree they will be successful in D3 they are a below average NOL team IMO and with the schedule they play we will never know... Vermilion I will give you would be a top tier NOL team Also OH, Clyde, PC aren't beating nobody but Willard in the NOL

I think for the first time in a while these conferences are pretty equal. When you add Vermilion to the top of the SBC and you realize Ontario is not up to their standards this season, I see the conferences being pretty equal. NOL is better at the lower end but the top end is pretty equal IMHO

So reading that, comparing the entire NOL/SBC conferences, you feel the NOL is stronger once again. Correct? That is what I would say as well. A single team from the SBC may do okay but looking at both conferences top to bottom the NOL is still better.

I think Ontario scored 25 in the 1st quarter, had a 15 point lead in the first half and a 14 point lead in the 4th quarter. TC got it down to 3 at the end of the 4th. Ontario big guys must have missed 10 shots at the rim or within 5 feet of the basket. But they had BY FAR their best 3-point shooting game of the season, 8 or 9 made. At the start of the season it looking like no one worked on their shooting much since last year. Not typical. JV game, Ontario 53, TC 29

Not if Vermilion can't beat Margaretta by more than 3, Perkins loses to OH and Huron beats Edison. Bellevue and TC are better this year than they've been in several years.

I thought I heard Vermilion is moving to the lake for basketball!?!? Vermilion is larger than Shelby, but they wouldn't come on board unless they were promised they could play in the Bay Division.

Watched the video of the Lex Wooster post game in the stands. Anybody have any info on this and what started it?
Interesting how Norwalk continues to stay out of the cellar dweller talk from Portwalk,Clywalk Oregwalk,,whatever he goes by. But,,he's happy to throw Willard in there (which they deserve ) at every chance. As if 2-6 Norwalk (who rolled hapless Willard by 3 points last night) doesn't stink just about as bad.
