galion, they just beat a team missing 3 starters, 2 of which would have been primary ball handlers, by pressing all over. And then tries to justify the bad start to the season. The spin doctor can make any situation good for his team. galion, I told the world about all of Norwalk's injuries saying I've never seen a team beset by so many. A FACT. Not only Ontario, but most teams will "press all over" if it is to their advantage to do so. Get a big lead so the end of the bench can get A LOT of minutes. A FACT. Typical of your UNTRUTHFULNESS, you failed to mention there was NO "pressing all over" after half time. A FACT. Ontario has 10 players on their varsity, 2 are full time JV players, 2 are Freshmen. A FACT. The last 5 players played most all of the 4th quarter. A FACT. The ONLY justification for the 4 losses in a row early in the season is that one loss was to undefeated DI Wooster, another loss was to 11-1 Lexington whose only loss was by 22 to undefeated DI Wooster. One loss was to undefeated in the NOL Sandusky. One loss was to a much improved Bellevue. FACTS. The hate monger can't stand to have Ontario playing better, the more Joe Balogh can coach them. A FACT. Scooty, what in the heck were you doing at Norwalk for their game?? Or are you being UNTUTHFUL again? PLEASE, tell us what THE sign of the Lex student section said. What are you afraid of?

Wow! That's a bit rude. How do you know how much WORK they put in? Do you live with them? So because they play football they shouldn't be on the varsity basketball team? I just don't understand your logic. If they were "basketball first" athletes and behind a bit at the beginning of football season would you be ripping them on a public forum for not putting in the work there? As a parent of multiple sport athletes there are oftentimes in the off season, particularly summertime, when the schedules conflict and you have to make a choice. Those kids may not have been to all of the basketball activities, but if they were at football conditioning instead it's not like they were sitting on their butts playing video games. I watched a kid last year earn all Ohio honors in 3 sports and another earn all conference and all district as well. So let's not pretend that one needs to sell one's soul to a specific sport in order to have success and contribute to the team. How do you know what goes on in Galion? I've seen posts of yours be more specific. It is just a fact at Ontario, that not a lot of football players play basketball. Have seen many teams from one year to the next, have seen many players from one year to the next. Have a lot of sources. I can see the difference in play now versus earlier in the year. I didn't mention any names. So how do you know who I'm "ripping on"? If you play football and are good enough to play basketball you make the team. There are a few GREAT athletes that can be both great football players and great basketball players, but they are rare. Cade Stover is one of those rare athletes. Obviously, the more you work on your basketball skills in the off season the better player you become. All but one of Ontario's 1st and 2nd team All-Ohio players in the past 31 years, were basketball only players and NONE were great athletes like Cade Stover. It was their choice to work on their basketball skills year round. There have been many good football players who also wanted to be good basketball players. I've known many who after weight lifting for football, even after summer football practices would find time to do dribbling drills and shoot around at night in their drive way. Even after the season started they found time. Knowing they had to compete for a place on the basketball team against the basketball only players. Well Willard when you state that there are 4 football players in the varsity rotation a higher number than usual. Then follow it up with "IMO several didn't put put in the work required in the off season" you may as well call them by name. You didn't state that your sources felt that they hadn't put in the required work. You specifically said "IMO" which correct me if I'm mistaken means in my opinion. Which I can only interpret to mean you feel that way. I can't believe that your many "sources" would be coaches because for a coach to discuss specifics about a player with a random guy in the stands would be terribly unprofessional.

If that's what you think, you are wrong. I have ears that listen, I have eyes that see. I've been to almost every game Joe has coached. IMO, is based on what my eyes see and ears hear. Not a random guy, just a long time guy in circles. I'll send you a PM of explanation if you want, let me know. No big secrets, but would send some on here off the deep end.
BTW, what do your eyes and ears tell you about what goes on at Galion? How long have you been around Galion? If not long I might have more sources in Galion than you do.

I've around for a while and for all I know you may well have more sources than I do. I've never really been much for pissing contests trying to prove that I know or am in with the most people. However, remember it's not the number of sources that you have that matters but their reliability.

I don't remember the late John Green, Bryan Keggereis, Brian Schubert, nor any of the Falknors that played Football at the Varsity Level. Every team has a basketball only guy or two. I've been in the area for 16 years and when Bellevue was winning they had several football players contributing significantly. Sure. But, it's not so much about the football players contributing as it is Bellevue not having those basketball guys.

Bellevue program the same as Willard not having a Dials, Fey, Lillo, Langhurst, etc. Both a long ways from that quality of player.
