One team does not indicate how a district stacks up. That would be like saying the Big Ten / ACC Challenge is determined by Duke/Mich St.

That would be like saying the Big Ten / ACC Challenge is determined by Duke/Mich St. So your saying that the arguably 2nd or 3rd seed from one district against 2nd or 3rd seed from another district would not be represent the level of play from each area of the state? Huh. If the similar ranks in both AP and max preps of these two teams isn't a good representation of the better teams from both districts then what is? Best on best right here right? Wait this ain't the Blind Side lmao!!

What I said was, 1 game does not tell how two 12 team districts compare.

What I said was, 1 game does not tell how two 12 team districts compare. Just trying to get good baseline as to comparison since everyone on here has said a length how soft the Upper team is even though it beat 5 of the 12 teams in Lexingtons district. All be it 5 of the bottom half of the district. This should be a great game tomorrow night showcasing two of the best programs each district has to offer. Is that a happier way to put it?😎😎

OG takes down Wapakoneta. Slow boring game... OG used a 3-2 zone all night on Wapakoneta. First I have seen them do that all year. Horrible shooting night for the redskins and OG bigs played great.

I don't think that Coach McGlaughlin cares too much if you thought the game was "slow and boring". He's in the business of teaching kids, winning basketball games, and building a program. He's not trying to "entertain" you. The great thing is, most of the OG fan base gets that, whether they score 75 or 45, developing high character kids and winning are at the top of the list for their community, not entertainment. And that is why they have a traditionally strong program. Some communities/schools don't quite understand that.

The game wasn't slow and boring because of the level of Coach or character of program. So don't understand your rant...🤔🤔. But I do know had Wapakoneta hit their normal percentage of outside shots that they missed the game would definitely had been a different flow. OG wouldn't have been able to sit in that zone the entire game. Still even a slow boring game to decide a league title is nice.😎😎

You'd rather have a fast paced game and lose? Or a coach with a game plan giving his team the best chance to win?

I guess why mention it was slow and boring then? Other than to imply the you weren't entertained. Didn't mean to "rant" at you; just get tired of fans thinking that high school coaches should be worried about their entertainment value.

Wasn't there to be entertained lol. And I like a strong defensive game just as much as a lay up drill ha! But for what was at stake last night I was expecting more. Wapakoneta was horrid shooting from outside. I haven't seen that many airballs in a while. And OG seemed off from other games I have watched this year so yeah it did seem slow and boring to me. Just an observation. Nobody seemed urgent to win until OG got ahead and even then Wapakoneta didn't push the ball to try and come back. Like I said just an observation from what I have seen out of both teams thus far this season. Still both are good teams and hats off to the winner last night.

That would mean two teams passing up a bye simply for the sake of avoiding OG.

So did Shawnee (if they win) pick to play the #2 seed/#2 team in the state?

Uppers first 3 opps. Shawnee, Wapak and OG are ALL better than anyone they played in their 22-0 regular season...

So did Shawnee (if they win) pick to play the #2 seed/#2 team in the state? Yes. They chose not to travel to Paulding to play Elida (L 67-78), or the #5 team in the state in OG (L 59-72). They chose to stay in Lima to play the #2 team who is/will be without their starting point guard, rather than play the #8 team in the state in Wapak (L 49-61). Why not try to beat a short-handed team with essentially a home game, when you already lost to the other three teams, all by double-digits? All scores from: < WBL sports>

So did Shawnee (if they win) pick to play the #2 seed/#2 team in the state? Looks like they took a game close to home and if they win elected not to play a conference team that already beat them.

All scores from: < WBL sports> Well in their last 4 " short handed" games they 70 ppg for to 48ppg against. Only stumbled two games adjusting to the new line up. And in those 4 games also shot less than 25 percent from outside where they have excelled at the year but we will see how well they gell with the new line up and bench players stepping up with more playing time. One of the bench player's moved into league leader in field goal percentage in that span. But time will tell as they start the tournament..😎😎

The second time around it was 89 points so there is a difference.

Fortunately for Upper, that part of its schedule came now to allow them to try some new things out before tournament play. With their PG out, maybe there's a reason they're shooting poorly from the outside.
