visited the espn website and I could finally see my fantasy teams from last year, clicked on the link and there it is "site is under routine maintenance" error message. Grrrr.... mine did the same thing |

lol you will see soon enough! Glad we are finally making progress! Torch, I took a look at your team. You definitely have some tough choices to make, but championship caliber teams always have too many good players. I bet the 3 or 4 good players you aren't keeping will all get drafted in the 1st round. That's what makes this league so competitive though, spreading the wealth to the poor teams! That goes for all the other top teams as well. Luckily my keeper choices aren't as tough.... |

Please, please please look over the rules and regulations. I get older, I forget more stuff.....like rules voted on last year and stuff.
Keepers are due Sunday at 3pm.

Offline Draft will come after Keepers are due. A date will be announced later, as well as a date that rosters will open to trading[before the draft, after the keepers]

Haha. Yeah. Those last couple spots are tough. It's a debate sometimes between trade bait and what my team really need, and since we are in a league full of sharks I tend to favor what my team really needs.

Question about minor league call ups since I can't remember ever doing it. When do we declare the minor call ups? And if we do prior to the active draft that earns the team compensatory minor draft picks correct? If done before the draft wouldn't you lose a keeper? I used mine as a last round draft pick last season and I'll probably do the same with Jake Lamb since I have to add him to my big league roster or lose him before the season begins. |

What do you guys think about putting some rule in that you can't draft a minor in the main draft just to trade him to someone else's minors roster? It would protect the integrity of the minors draft and in general IMO is a pretty lame move. It could be implemented as: if you draft someone in the majors draft you cannot trade him to someone else's minors roster for x months? If you want to burn your 1 minors demotion I have less issue with it...

the only issue i would have with that is what if you draft a minor leaguer with every intention of keeping him but someone makes you a good offer?

However, I made deals and acquired extra draft picks last year. I don't necessarily think I should lose that advantage just because nobody else did it.

I don't blame anyone for doing anything within the rules, and honestly, if the rules stand as they are now I am likely going to do this in the draft. I just wanted to put it out there and see people's thoughts on it. I'd say this close to the draft it would have to be pretty close to unanimous to make a change. |

Minors keepers need to be declared by Sunday as well, should've made that distinction, don't think I did. In your case...I'm going to assume you are talking about benintendi for the sake of explanataion. Your options right now are drop or keep as a Minors keeeper. If you drop him, you would get a compensation pick and he would go into the draft pool. If you keep him, he counts as a minors keeper and you can promote him anytime between when rosters will unlock and the beginning of the season. In the past, people have drafted their callups (usually required promotions, unlike Benintendi)with their last picks in the Active Draft, but it is not necessary. You do not receive a compensation pick for players kept as minors keepers that you intend to promote. |
