Ontario set the tone for this game outscoring Norwalk 17-8 in the 2nd quarter, holding them to 17 in the first half. PG Trey Jordon with another good game after missing 2 contests last weekend. Scoring 19 with several outstanding assists. 6-4 Freshman Chance Mott averaging double figures over the past 10 games. Tonight making two 3 pointers, skying for rebounds, leading fast breaks and one amazing blocked shot. Good defense by 4 Ontario guards held Harraway to 6 points. Obviously still rusty, missing so much of the season, as he had several turnovers. I forget who was whining about him last week. But he played like a perfect gentleman tonight, as well as every time I've seen him play. Ontario 7-1 against Norwalk in their 4 years in the NOL.

There are a reason we call it "Perkins Twp." instead of just "Perkins?" As a Huron guy, I imagine you are for some reason looking down your nose at Perkins, and this is how you express it? Maybe I'm putting too much into it.

Start calling the OHSAA right now. It took Ontario schools 5 years to convince them Ontario was not Mansfield Ontario.

Ontario-53 C.Crawford-37 F Ontario led the 16-4 CC Eagles 29-13 at half time. Up by 31 at 48-17 with 3:41 left in the 3rd. Ontario out rebounded taller CC with their athleticism and fundamentals. Their 6-10 kid had 10 rebounds, the rest of their team had 7. Balogh called off the dogs in the 4th quarter. PG Trey Jordon didn't play in the 4th quarter. Freshmen and JV players played most of the 4th quarter. Joe letting his players do pretty much what they wanted. He sat on the bench the entire 4th quarter and didn't coach one iota. Never seen that before. I really think he didn't want to beat his buddy young Sheldon too bad the last time he played CC. Sheldon told me this was a one year contract. Both needed a game, but Balogh wanted to schedule as many old NOL teams as possible for non-league games in the future. One thing that tells me, Joe wants to coach next year, if they let him.

Maybe I'm putting too much into it. he is mark may that alone says it all! It's not really that big a deal - it's just words. It's odd, though, because as a Huron guy, markmay has never heard or read Perkins High as "Perkins Township High School." markmay, traditionally, Perkins High has always served Groton, Oxford, and at least parts of Florence Twps. as well (not that it matters, in this era of OE). I thought it might be a rural/suburban vs. "city" school thing, like he was trying to look down his nose at us because we're not our own city, but there's plenty of farmland around Huron in the eponymous township, also part of the city's SD. It's just odd, in a silly way.

I thought it was markmay doing it himself. Sorry, mark! It's just "Perkins." It's not really that big a deal, it just isn't something I've ever seen before. Normally, even OHSAA calls us "Sandusky Perkins," which is fine IMO.

Ontario is actually a township school. If it was just a city school, it would be much smaller.

Ontario is actually a township school. If it was just a city school, it would be much smaller. If true it would be called Springfield Schools. City school boundaries do not stop at the city limits. The difference may be there is a city of Ontario, there is no city of Perkins.

There has been little talk or even acknowledgement of Huron winning the SBC crown. I believe this has something to do with every single one of you dump buckets writing them off before the year started. Even Mark May, a so called "Huron Guy," claimed I was crazy to think the Tigers could be successful, let alone win the league! Well guess what Dumpsters, the Tigers are 16-5 and are the best team in the league. Look for the Tigers to win the district. I am calling it now. They will upset Sandusky in a close game, and win the district, and then win state.
GO tigers

I'll give them (Lex) an A+ for the OG game but the rest of the list isn't that impressive. Wooster obviously isn't the 3rd best team in DI. Norwalk a handful of years back was a better DI team than they are. But that Senior loss...how did that happen? Who's tanking the most at the end of the season, Lex or Vermilion?

Upper is almost in the same boat (well, not the tanking boat) with strength of schedule. Their schedule is a who's who of who's that? Nice outfit with some good shooters but not a lot of size.
