Ontario wins the NOL Championship in their last year in the league. Their 2nd in 4 years. When did the NOL start doing its own academic challenge league? When I was in high school Bellevue was in the Firelands Challenge, which consisted of all the school districts in Huron and Erie counties, regardless of which athletic league they were in, and most of the matches were held at BGSU Firelands.

Some time before 4 years ago, obviously.

Some time before 4 years ago, obviously. My Son graduated in 2014 and I believe it may have been the first year of the NOL title (none in 2013) I know he was embarrassed by losing to I believe Ontario... JK Fillmore don't go off...

NP, many have been embarrassed. Academically more so than athletically. When I was entering Ontario Middle school to watch the 8th grade basketball tournament, the 7th and 8th grade Academic Challenge team was loading onto a school bus, there were more than 50 of them. IMO, there should be academic competitions as well as athletic competitions. Academics should be rewarded and revered just as much as athletics. There are MANY more academic scholarships available than athletic scholarships.
