And to answer your question Dumpy Will, why go to that side of the bracket which is stacked with above average teams when you could stick on their current side and potentially play a team they are more familiar with and have already beaten? They wanted to take the easier path to the district tournament, which they have the luxury of doing because they are 16-3.
Ontario won't even make it to districts. They have accomplished nothing compared to Huron. Athletically/academically/geographically/economically Huron dumps on Ontario. Just accept it.

So in summary... — I don't care who won district titles in what venue a few years ago. I don't care if someone shoulda, woulda, coulda been a different division. It's a rabbit hole of possibilities if every team could move up/down a division every year. — I don't care who Huron thinks they could've beaten in the tournament this year. They were seeded 5th & their choices were to place themselves in a play-in game to a top 3 seed, or take the last remaining bye for their best chance at a sectional title and then play against Sandusky with house money, knowing that no one will pick them to win. Really has nothing to do with "being afraid" of certain teams. Their coach put his team in the best position possible for a sectional title. I can't fault that for him. He'd be stupid to go after 4-seed Ontario, who took the play-in to 3-seed Vermillion. No team would want to play the 4-, 3-, 2-, 1-seeded teams in succession for a district title. — Quit beating around the bush with "I know who you are, but I'm not going to tell everyone because I'm so classy, but I'm going to continue to trash you knowing who you are, but I'm not going to tell you, despite me actually saying so, but you suck because of your comment from a post I originally put, but yea, so there." If you want to play online footsy, go post on his MySpace wall. Dump, you brought up RedRage's XC background, so don't be offended if he responds with it to you. I don't know either of you, but it's a childish conversation & it's not a good look for when you're trying to make valid points elsewhere. — Wooster & Sandusky are different divisions, so unless someone is going to hold a playground playoff, I guess we'll never know.
This thread has been fun fodder, but it's gone off the trails of relevancy and into a high school gym class of trash talk.

Been a spectator along the sidelines at a few Huron games this season and although the tigers lack some talent, they have a tenacity unknown to mankind. I can't believe what Bobby is getting out of his players. Dom Barnes is looking like a young Vince Zappa, the kid continues to **** buckets. Don't be surprised to see Huron win their sectional easily, not sure if the tigers can pull off the upset to win the district but if I were a betting man I would not put my money against the tigers. Dump, thank you for your continued support of the tigers throughout this season. At times I didn't believe some of your earlier posts because the tigers have the talent equivalent to a dumpster fire, but the tigers proved me wrong. The fact Jared Hohler got hosed on the all district team is a shame, look for the all-ohio caliber QB to put up the best numbers of his career this tournament. The kid is tough.

What you say can not be believed, you have no basis for you conclusion. You have NOT seen Wooster play. Huron has only played Sandusky once. I have seen Sandusky play 4 times and Wooster play twice. THE TRUTH, Wooster has comparable athletes to Sandusky AND they are a couple of inches taller at every position. They have a better 3-point shooter than anyone on the Sandusky team. Wooster has a better press than Sandusky. Wooster has a deeper bench. They have a better coach.
If Sandusky is not 22 points better than Huron, then if follows that Sandusky is not 7 points better than Shelby, Sandusky is not 12 points better than Madison, Sandusky is not 14 points better than Ontario.
Agree Huron is playing their best ball now. Other teams are playing their best ball. Playing your best ball doesn't guarantee anything. Gotta show up and play your best ball on any given night.

GO Tigers Immature teenie, YOU are the one claiming a State Title for Huron. On the other hand I have not claimed a single win for Ontario in this tournament. Prove otherwise I DARE YOU. The easiest path to a District Title DOES NOT go through Sandusky. I see you are ignorant of Ontario's Academics and Economics. Academically Ontario is the highest rated public school in a 5 county area. Ontario's economics are such that the State would not give Ontario one penny to build a new Middle School, a new Elementary school and add on to their high school. NO 2/3rds tobacco lawsuit matching funds for Ontario. The State considers the Ontario School District to be one of the few Districts too "wealthy" to get any money from them. Know of what you speak, before you speak.

When he said Sandusky wasn't 20 points better than Huron. He opened the door. I just used HIS logic.

Listen here Willy, Wooster would not beat Sandusky. They don't have the athletes. Sandusky is the only good team in the NOL. Aside from them, Huron would handle everybody.. I will give it to you, Sandusky is better than huron, however, they are not 20 points better. We will give them a better game if we play them again. Don't let this distract you from the fact that the Tigers are 16-3 and just won their conference leading 16th SBC title. They are playing their best ball at the right time. Go Tigers JMO . . . I've seen both play and I would bet money on Wooster by double digits. Wooster has athletes thru player #8. That has been their reason for success. They can put more athletes on the floor to defend and keep the game at a tempo that most cannot play for 32 minutes. Plus the fact that 7 of those 8 athletes are 6'2 or bigger.

Wooster would not beat Sandusky. Jayrese is a top 10 HIGH SCHOOL player in the state of Ohio. Jared Hohler is a top 5 player in the state. Huron would beat Wooster. Huron would beat Ontario. I would beat Willard in bridge. I would beat PortWalk's son in an 800.

Dump, word on the street is that Jayrese and Hohler could possibly team up at Tri-C next season, I see the two elite erie county ballers competing for a NJCAA national title. The streaks will be pretty thin talent wise next year without their district poy but the tigers will have no trouble replacing hohler. My youngest son Ryan, who took the year off to hunt in the woods, has finally committed to Bob's tigers next season. At 6'2 240, Ryan is a smooth but bulky combo guard that has a knack for pissing buckets. If the tigers fall back down to division 3, a state title could be in the works for Hurst, Barnes, Pickett and company next season. Go Tigers

Willard, I agree with you that Sandusky (even though they are good this year) they cannot beat Wooster this year. I have seen them play a couple of times this and they are tall, tough, and very good shooters and ball handlers. They can be beat but mot by Sandusky and definitely not by Huron. Huron has only played two quality teams this year, Vermilion and Sandusky. Yes they beat Vermilion twice I believe but they got man handle by Sandusky and if they play them again they still will not beat them. I know the little boy (and his other names he is using) will be on here soon and start calling all kind of childish names to me but as us baby boomers use to say in the 60's they are looking though rose color glasses. peace baby
