Lyle with an open gym mentality kills them in crunch time.

From a team perspective and the effort last night --much improved imo. Get KBD back and keep getting better. To think in a game where Kam Williams had zero points and KBD didn't play at all,to think we led most of the night and only lost by two==== Great Coaching night from OSU. Jent makes a big difference.

I was worried we might get our butts kicked but ended up impressed with how they played. Hopefully it's not like last year when they beat Kentucky then were basically just mediocre the rest of the season. I think it's also time for Thompson to start over Potter, he's clearly playing better. The only thing Potter gives over Thompson is an outside shot.

Tate and Lyle could play next level. No one else yet. Solid start so far with 5 left in 1st What in the heck position is Tate going to play at the next level??? For Ohio State he's a 6-4 back to the basket power forward!

He has to stop the ISO it doesn't work. Lyle needs to STOP trying to be anything over than a PG who doesn't shoot much at all untll he learns how NOT to have 8 TOs in a game. BY FAR the reason Ohio State lost was Lyle's play through out the game.

Games change and tates could once in d leauge, or else he'll play over seas. But Lyle needs to work on passing and handling a lot. He can score as said but yes he lost the game. Second half was bad.

I could see Lyle moving to the off-guard position down the road. Not sure he has the speed to run point after college.

Ohio state with an embarrassing loss to Florida Atlantic tonight. It's a bit ridiculous.

Well a couple posts up I said I think they're much improved over last season, not so sure anymore. I know that was just one game but that's not good. I really don't understand this team or what's going on. Their next two games will be huge against UConn and UCLA, those will really tell us what type of team we are.

Thad Matta's future at Ohio State has to be a bit tenuous.

I've been a Matta supporter but things are definitely not going well. My only problem with getting rid of him is can they find someone better?

This years team is better. Next year should continue the trend. Once KBD gets healthy again,,this team will be in a much better place even though they are 8-2. The pieces are in place. What they can't do is have too many awful nights against good B10 teams.

To put into perspective We shot horrible against UCONN and still won. 2-19 from 3 Our best or 2nd player is about 80% and we still won. The FAU thing wasn't good, but they were better than their record imo. Once this team starts to make shots, they'll be dangerous I think.

UConn - check UCLA - will be a real game of revelation, against a final four caliber team.

Diop coming back full strength will help a lot. Yes, believe they are better than last season at this time, especially in FG% and 3-point shooting (overall, forgetting the last 2 games.) But, there are some glaring, IMO, weaknesses and trouble spots -- like rebounding and turnovers. Remember, the Bucks have played the usual bunch of patsies (with a couple notable exceptions) in the non=-league season, and are barely holding their own in those two categories against noticeably weaker opposition. What happens when the rough and tumble B1G starts? I fear even a healthy Bates=Diop is not going to help dramatically in those areas and that spells Trouble with a capital T.

What a confidence boost it would be if the buckeyes could somehow beat UCLA tomorrow. Hopefully Diop is almost 100%.

anytime you're the 4th team and the other 3 teams are UCLA, North Carolina, and Kentucky, that is a fantastic opportunity to show out
Go Bucks!

Nice effort against a team that looks like a National Champ pick to me.
This was a game where if we had a quick guard who could have stayed with Holiday,,would have helped a ton. Just nobody on the roster like that anymore.
I feel like we are improving. KBD you can tell is rusty,,missed a bunch of shots he usually makes. Get him and Kam Williams going is the next step. Seems like Loving is starting to heat up finally.
I read a UCLA fan opinion on another website and he was impressed FWIW.

I like what I saw from the Buckeyes. Good ball movement on offense and good effort on the defensive side of the floor. This is not a good shooting team and atrocious at the free throw line. Hope that improves dramatically.

A threat to Cam's minutes and scoring, now he's forcing it.

I hope Kam keeps shooting and regains his confidence. He's a guy who is very able in 16-18 minutes to score 10-12 each game. We've played two road games against very good teams and actually played some good basketball for about half the game. As long as we stay healthy, this "should" be an NCAA tourney team imo. The Big 10 is wide open this year from what I can tell.
