You are correct, last year Wynford was 8-0. This year they were 7-0. Much closer. 😂😃😄😎

What were the records of 2-3-4 compared to last year?

Well according to your post on the first page of this thread you had 3 teams tied for 2nd place with identical 6-2 conference records last year. This year 2-4 went 6-1, 5-2, 4-3. Explain how that makes it closer.

6-1 and 5-2 is closer to 7-0 than 6-2 and 6-2 is to 8-0.

I'm sorry, but the same team is still unbeaten in N10 play. I don't see that as closer, 2-4 just divided the same 6 losses in a different way.

Last year 8-0. This year 7-0. No one got closer.

Oh yeah, and they did most of it with their second string qb at the helm. That's literally the equivalent of "beating them with one arm tied behind their back" just to make it more interesting.

Oh yeah, and they did most of it with their second string qb at the helm. Smith got hurt in week 7 vs. LCC. They also played 4/7 of their N10 schedule by that point. Math is hard.

6-1 and 5-2 is closer to 7-0 than 6-2 and 6-2 is to 8-0. Aren't they both 2-loss teams two games back of the champion?

Fine, they beat the second best team in the conference with one arm tied behind their back. After they beat Carey again this week and, perhaps, SE again next week I'm going back the my original premise.

I'm sorry, but the same team is still unbeaten in N10 play. I don't see that as closer, 2-4 just divided the same 6 losses in a different way. The fact that the#1 team is undefeated and the #2 team has one loss, predicates that the #3 has two losses... and so on. 6-1 and one game back is closer than 6-2 and two games back. No matter how you or I define "closer" doesn't matter. If you don't think the competiveness at the top of the N10 is greater this year than ever before, then you simply have not been paying attention to what has gone on in the games each week. That is what I meant in my post on page one. " I think a lot of coaches in our league felt this year our league would be extremely balanced. I think there are several good teams that can compete for a championship." .............Coach Helbert in an interview with swankonsports.com

How can the competitiveness at the top of the N10 be any greater than last season when 2-4 were tied? Isn't 3 6-2 teams more competitive than 6-1,5-2,4-3?

Now you're trying to split hairs like another infamous poster on here. You have learned well grasshopper. I'll just stick with Coach Helbert.

I'll just stick with Coach Helbert. That's Coach talk with an interview going on. And it worked because others felt good when they heard it. But in reality, still undefeated and just as competitive as in the past. The real competition may be for 2nd place. All time N10 record for the teams from 2014 to 2017 Wynford 31-0 CC 22-9 SE 20-11 Carey 19-12 Mohawk 17-14 BC 9-22 Bucyrus 9-22

All time N10 record for the teams of 2017 They have not been in the N10 the entire time. Typically "all-time" encompasses everything in the history of, and last I checked the N9 had eight teams this season (ironic in so many ways). These two together cut out Crestline & Ridgedale, but Upper does fall within your premise.

Was told last night that Wynford's coach has his house for sale and that the talent pool may be a little shallow in the near future. Any truth to either?
