Applied: Joe Bedingfield (leader IMO) Dave Hirschy applied then pulled his application after Joe B applied I believe. I can see him being Joe's asst Nic Venerucci Heard applied Ridgedale's coach Kieth Diebler (heard he did / heard he didn't) ** oh on a side note the good WR hoops player has a 'foot in the door' at Norwalk, but is now flirting with going a few other places. Seems certain he's not going back to WR though. *** I'm keeping this thread clean of spammy junk posts, if you'd like to argue about lunacy the other thread's ready for ya.

I love this lock feature, keeps this thread nice and neat.
I'll unlock for a bit though just to see what happens.
Hear Diebler inquired but did not apply.
Joe def is in the lead, prob his job to lose. I'd be more than cool with this hire.
May be another Willard hoops opening as well.

I may have missed this elsewhere, but any reason on the WR player's changing boats? Anything to do w/ Sheldon (sp?) Always been a bit put off by his and his fan base's in-game behavior.

If that is the case, I'm on that train.
Wasn't a fan of Long getting canned at all. However, Bedingfield has a lot of potential to be a great coach. Would be a great hire IMO.

A hand written letter of recommendation from Tom Izzo won't hurt his case.

Even if Diebler applies would the admin really pick him over Joe?
I mean, ain't no more Dieb Jr's walking outta that locker room.

I don't know that Willard or its fanbase could hand Diebler. He won't put up with any chit.

Breaking NewsPhil Jackson applied. Yes, Phil Jackson applied. But the Willard Leadership told him to take a hike because they are not running his triangle offense. He was told 'this is Willard take that triangle stuff to a program that doesn't dominate" LeBron James applied and said he'd bring his son with him to play. Willard Leadership said, great are you going to live in Willard and go to Softball games and Volleyball games? LeBron said no, that he'd live in Marble Head, drive to Willard each day and that he wouldn't be attending any softball or volleyball games. Willard Leadership was having none of that and told LeBron that they already fired a football coach for not showing up to softball games and not moving to Willard so LeBron can stuff it where the sun doesn't shine. On a side note The Grim Reaper called and told the Willard Leadership that the football program died and that he was personally there at the Football Programs death a few years back. They told him they didn't believe him and that the football program is in great health. They said Willard very recently won 3 NOL Titles in football in the 1990's and hung up on the Reaper. The Reaper was overheard saying don't they know they aren't in the NOL anymore and it's 2017 not the 1990's. I agree with the Grim Reaper, Willard should cancel the 2017 season and focus on SOCCER! The Soccer program wants the 14 best athletes from the dead Football program to join the Soccer Program.

Big Hoss is correct.
What I learned yesterday but was asked to keep quiet at the time.
All the Willard administration had to do was say "welcome Joe to Willard thank you we know you will do a great job" however they messed around with him & he's too good to play these goofy games.
Willard's loss is SC's gain.

The lowest point in the once storied history of Willard basketball. SC is preferred over Willard as the destination for the leading candidate for head coach. Does this mean that a player's father with no coaching experience will be the next head coach?

This has nothing to do with South Central and everything to do with Willard's incompetence. That's for the people that are confused by some of the people adding SC to the convo.

Ridgedale coach is Jon Otterbacher. I believe he and his wife live in Tiffin, so it would make sense. That is, if he gets it.

^ It's kinda hard to tell. They won 4 games last year but had 0 depth and their best player was hurt for most of the season. When he played I believe they went 4-4 or something like that. They hovered around .500 for years before that too, so I'd say that Ridgedale has probably been an average Division 4 program for awhile. I do know that they have been very thin with their depth for the last several years, so I don't know whether that's a result of not having a top-to-bottom program or just not having enough kids, which can be an issue with D4 schools at times. He seemed to do well with what he had FWIW.

Hearing a 4-win Riverdale or Ridgedale coach is the leading candidate now. If correct, the Willard Administration fired a coach who in 4 years had won 39% of his games to possible hire a coach who has won 25% of his games in 7 years.
