I see a thread being shared on Facebook (my wife pointed it out to me) that is calling for people in Willard to fill out a form to have the state investigate the school system, teachers, admins, the board of education over the death/suicide of a young student who apparently was being bullied. So far, this is what I read: The police did an investigation and no complaints were filed by the parents or student to the principle/school in regards to bullying. Several officers interviewed students that this young man hung around with and no mention of bullying came up. My wife told me that what apparently happened was a relative started this entire bullying thing on facebook right after his death, without merit, and people just ran crazy with it, even the parents. Its a very sad situation and I am sure the parents and close family members want someone to blame, because that is what this world has turned into. Bullying happens in every school system, not just Willard and the school can only be responsible for so much. Over the years I have seen parents, mainly mothers want the school to be responsible for everything under the sun, even stuff that happens off of school grounds. For example a woman I know wanted to sue the school because her son got into a fight after school, literally a mile off of the school grounds. She wanted the school to be responsible?
It should be an interesting end of the year and summer for the WHS school system if the state starts an investigation. I see many teachers are being pretty silent on social media about this! Heads could be rolling in Willard.

I don't think Teachers are blabbing on fb about it,,but they read about it. People blaming the teachers and or Administration for bullying is hogwash. No way possible to totally prevent it. At some point dang near every kid at every school faces a form of bullying and or pear pressure. Mine did too--and guess what--it was dealt with immediately and we moved on and the kids got through it.
But I agree---Grieve with the family and support them as it will hurt for a lifetime.

Lol Yes--by all means watch out for the pear pressure--but stay away from the rotten apples.

Not really, and with what's going on in Cincy this issue will remain at the forefront.

Don't really know Ritz at all, but dang this guy cannot catch a break. His fact based interview was published on facebook and so many angry people are lashing out, calling for him and every teacher to be fired. The language used on social media is uncalled for. Then again, some of the people posting, Lori Leis for example, is a complete nut job anyhow so many look right past her posts.

I bumped into someone at the 224 VC the other night. This topic came up. This guys wife is under the impression that Willard teachers, cops, staff and those that support the school system are all corrupt and all worked together to cover this all up because the police investigation found nothing.

That kind of thinking just blows my mind. Everyone involved is lying. Everyone involved is covering up the truth. Really?!? I'm not even sure if that's possible ...
