The spin doctor is still at it. I'll say it again, I am so much happier reading and posting on this site that has a blocking feature. Saying again, again, means the spin nurse is again reading when she fibs and says she is happy not to read.

Unfortunately Curry could quickly get to them in scoring and possibly add to the discussion.

Curry won't have the longevity. No way his body lasts long enough to break those records.

Toronto has been playing very physical with the goal of wearing down Lebron and making Love ineffective. It probably seemed like a good plan after watching the Cavs/Pacers series. Toronto thought their offense, being better than Indianas's, would be the difference. Guys have been hanging on Lebron, leaning, shoving and fouling. Major Kudos to Lebron for keeping his cool and powering through. Love has also stayed aggressive. A bad game from Lebron in the playoffs is a rarity. He playmakes, scores with efficiency and rebounds at a high level pretty much every game. And his defense, which was poor in the RS is strong in the playoffs. George Hill is a big help being able to run the P&R with Korver and Love. That also allows Lebron to conserve energy on the court for some offensive possessions in addition to getting significant bench rest. The Cavs need, more than anything else, a 4th quarter Lebron who is not exhausted. The veterans are coming through, even TT and JR are playable. Green has been decent but Hood has been pretty bad. I'd like to see more Nance and Cedi. I'm really enjoying watching every game. This LBJ guy is just incredible.
edit...wrong thread, my bad

Skip Bayless has made a career out of bashing LeBron no matter what, imagine if we had the same version during MJ's career. There is a lot to work with
1993 Playoffs Conf Finals Game 1 - MJ shoots 37% (10-27) & Bulls loose --- Skip Sr would say MJ is a ball hog & not a team player, Bill Russell shared the ball and won Conf Finals Game 2 - MJ shoots 38% (12-32) & Bulls loose --- Skip Sr would say MJ again ball hogged it and cost his team, Bill Russell shared the ball and won Conf Finals Game 3 - MJ shoots 16% (3-18) & Bulls win by 20 --- Skip Sr would say MJ finally listened to me and cut back on shooting and look what happened his team won by 20. MJ holds this team back, he's not as good as Bill Russell who has 11 NBA Titles ECF Game 6 - MJ shoots 33% (8-24), Bulls win game & Series --- Skip Sr would say MJ held the Bulls back but his supporting cast overcame him and beat off the Knicks.
NBA Finals Game 3 - MJ shoots 44% (19-43) & Bulls loose --- Skip Sr would say MJ ball hogged it again taking a whooping 43 shots and cost his team a winnable game. Bill Russell would have shared the ball & won, that's why Russell has 11 NBA Titles and MJ has a measly 2 and both have an * because Portland didn't have an elite center and the Lakers weren't the same Lakers because Divac was the Center and not Kareem.

Noticeable is that LeBron sat back and relaxed in 2016 the year the Cavs won it all with only 1 30+ point game before the finals.
30+ point games before the Finals with the Cavs since the return 2015 - 7 - Lost in 6 the Finals 2016 - 1 - NBA Champion 2017 - 11 - Lost in 5 in the Finals 2018 - 6 already
Not looking good for the Finals unless LeBron can peal back and get some other guys to step up big or GS will roll the Cavs
Example LeBron 40 ppg K Love 25 ppg Korver 15 ppg That's 80 pts Where are the other 35 points for 115 ppg going to come from to beat the Warriors? If LeBron and K Love play epic it will not be enough. The Cavs need LeBron to step back a little in the ECF and try to get 1 or 2 other players to get their games going to where the Cavs can count on 15 points a game from them or the Cavs will get rolled.

I can't see us beating Golden State. And we better not look past Boston.

Noticeable is that LeBron sat back and relaxed in 2016 the year the Cavs won it all with only 1 30+ point game before the finals. 30+ point games before the Finals with the Cavs since the return 2015 - 7 - Lost in 6 the Finals 2016 - 1 - NBA Champion 2017 - 11 - Lost in 5 in the Finals 2018 - 6 already Not looking good for the Finals unless LeBron can peal back and get some other guys to step up big or GS will roll the Cavs Example LeBron 40 ppg K Love 25 ppg Korver 15 ppg That's 80 pts Where are the other 35 points for 115 ppg going to come from to beat the Warriors? If LeBron and K Love play epic it will not be enough. The Cavs need LeBron to step back a little in the ECF and try to get 1 or 2 other players to get their games going to where the Cavs can count on 15 points a game from them or the Cavs will get rolled. The key is there is no Kyrie Irving.

LeBron also "sat back and relaxed" in the conference final against Boston the year before he became a free agent.

Did he?
Game 1: Cavs won by 8 - 35 pts, 7 rebs, 7 ast, 3 stl, 2 blks (50% 12-24) Game 2: Boston won by 18 - 24 pts, 7 rebs, 4 ast, 3 stl, 2 blks (47% 7-15) Game 3: Cavs won by 29 - 38 pts, 8 rebs, 7 ast, 1 stl, 2 blks (64% 14-22) Game 4: Boston won by 10 - 22 pts, 9 rebs, 8 ast, 2 stl 1 blk (39% 7-18) Game 5: Boston won by 32 - 15 pts, 6 rebs, 7 ast, 1 stl, 0 blk (21% 3-14) Game 6: Boston won by 9 - 27 pts, 19 rebs, 10 ast, 3 stl 1 blk (38% 8-21)
Or did he have 3 straight poor shooting performances?
Michael Jordan in the 1997 playoffs had a bunch of poor shooting games. 41% (12-29) Game 2 loss to Atlanta 40% (8-20) Game 3 win vs Atlanta 39% (9-23) Game 5 win vs Atlanta - Bulls win the series 4-1 27% (4-15) Game 2 win vs Miami 26% (9-35) Game 4 loss vs Miami 36% (11-31) Game 5 win vs Miami - Bulls win the series 4-1 41% (9-22) Game 3 loss to Utah 41% (11-27) Game 4 loss to Utah 43% (15-35) Game 6 win vs Utah - Bulls win series 4-2
Here's what the amazing Michael Jordan did in the 1996 NBA Finals Game 1 50% (9-18) 28 pts - Bulls win by 17 Game 2 41% (9-22) 29 pts - Bulls win by 4 Game 3 48% (11-23) 36 pts - Bulls win by 22 Game 4 32% (6-19) 23 pts- Bulls lose by 21 Game 5 50% (11-22) 26 pts- Bulls lose by 11 Game 6 26% (5-19) 22 pts - Bulls win by 12
The memory of Michael Jordan getting 38 and playing huge every playoff game is a distortion of reality. MJ had a LOT of great playoff games but he also had his fair share of less than stellar performances.
2010 playoffs 1st Round LeBron took 19.4 shots per game vs Chicago 2nd Round LeBron took 19.0 shots per game vs Boston - the series fans say he quit.
Nah, he just couldn't hit shots, as seen above he was shooting bad vs Boston 1st round 57% (11.0-19.4) 2nd round 45% (8.5/19.0)
1st round 9.2 rebs, 8.2 ast 2nd round 9.3 rebs, 7.2 ast
Maybe he shot poorly because he kept thinking about Delonte West and his Mom. Anybody know after which game he found out?

Another one Most 3pt FG made in a playoff career 1. 385 Ray Allen 2. 354 LeBron James 3. 331 Steph Curry 4. 324 Manu Ginobili 5. 320 Reggie Miller
Steph Curry will most likely catch Ray Allen before LeBron catches him so LeBron will probably never be #1. In Curry's playoff career he's averaged 4 made three's per game while LeBron has averaged 1.5

[(3) 1st rd, (1) 2nd rd, (2) ECF]
**** [only 9 teams in the NBA at the time and 6 made the playoffs, so the East & West Division winners got a bye in the 1st round of playoffs (ala NFL playoffs)] West's Lakers got the bye so he only had the opportunity to play 2 rounds in the playoffs. West was 6 for 6 in the WCF at getting 40+, then got 2 in the Finals when his Lakers were beat in 5 games.
The only player above to win the NBA Title was MJ in 1993. That year he only had two 40 pt games before the Finals. Saved that energy.
