OSU basketball and the stock market continue to be the Winter All Stars. The 'Coach of the Year' plaque is stlll destined for Holtmann's office wall and there may be more than one.

OSU basketball and the stock market continue to be the Winter All Stars. Speaking of the stock market. Look up IMMU. Where the share price was a year ago and where it is now. I bought over a year ago. Research why it's happening. It will be well worth your time.

Great win for the Buckeyes, on the road at Purdue. The full court pass to Isaac Haas, who was defended beautifully by Andre Wesson, while trying to create some space, traveled big time and the officials allowed him to get the shot off with no whistle!
Kam Williams?......Kam Williams?.........no problem, enter Musa Jallow!

What a difference a year makes? You read that phrase a lot, but man this is as legit a changed program in one year that I ever recall seeing. Last year I remember thinking to myself that the only way OSU can win a game is when they are at their absolute best. I know we have a few more pieces in quality players like KBD and Kaleb Wesson, but the confidence and character is off the charts better. Having a go to guy is pretty important. Having leaders like Tate who lead by example with great effort. He's improved many aspects of his game too. It's a shame he isn't a couple inches taller, but at 6'4" he does create a matchup problem with his quickness and the ability to drive to the basket. Dakich and the glue he provides on the court is nothing I expected. I remember thinking when he transferred to OSU for his senior year, what is he doing this for? And, why would OSU want this guy? He's done a nice job of not making mistakes and making some timely baskets. Andre Wesson has improved a ton. His body just looks stronger and he just looks so much better in a years time. Last year he was the throw in brother to make sure we got big brother Kaleb. Suddenly he's scoring 13 on the road at #3 Purdue. So much improvement across the board, nice job Gene Smith in targeting a great coach and not giving up after he was told no initially by Holtmann. Another great win in a totally unexpected Season down in Columbus.

OSU really had no business winning that game (best shooter suspended, bigs in foul trouble all night, on the road, etc), but they refused to give up and just kept fighting. And Holtmann is a class act. If you saw his postgame interview, he gave kudos to Matta for recruiting character kids.

HUGE win..too bad eSECpn doesn't realize it watched that scumbag network for an hour this am while exercising.....almost their entire time was spent hyping duke/north carolina game tonight....withcoach interviews, clips etc the whole bag of crap...to be fair, they did show clips of cavs/LBJ amazing performance but even then centered on need to trade, LBJ walking etc.....what a piece of szzt network...no wonder the public feels the media is biased and unfair....eSECpn is a prime example!

The post-game commentators were marveling at the 2nd half adjustments made by Holtmann and how that resulted in the 25-10 run to finish the game.

to clarify, his character comment was in regards to tate and kbd. I just thought it was a classy move by Holtmann to acknowledge Matta.

Over the past 2 seasons Holtmann teams has beaten #1 Villanova, #2 Villanova, #1 Michigan State and #3 Purdue. Not an accident or luck with 4 such wins.

There are no gimme's in the Big Ten this year. One can only wonder at what heights this program is going to rise to in coming years. Given the ridiculous over achievement, beyond anyone's wildest expectations, what will we do with Holtmann's personally recruited players? The excitement has come back to Ohio State bsketball.

We know Holtman can coach and inspire above average basketball players. To get to NCAA finals, he has to be able to recruit and coach and inspire the entitled 5 Star 1 and doners.

We have no reason to be concerned about his recruiting prowess, or his abilities to manage his players. I think we have the complete package in this gentleman.

I assume the OSU football coaches will be out in force with 2019 recruits at the game today. I think every coach on the staff tweeted about students and buckeye nation in general to fill up the arena in support of the hoops team. OSU favored by 13.5 points.
I'm surprised that Iowa played MSU as tough as they did.
While OSU has enjoyed a great big Ten season thus far, I do think the bigTen is down from a Team quality perspective over the last 3-4 years. Wisc is probably the weakest it's been in 10-15 years. That Coach has got to be feeling the heat. Minn same way, just not really doing that well and trending down. Indiana I'm surprised too. I figured Miller would spark a resurgence in Bloomington, but not so far. NW is down from last year, MSU with the scandal looming I'm sure is wearing on Izzo. Illinois continues to be average at best. Michigan has been solid in maintaining it's winning ways. Penn st is better for sure. They look pretty good to me. I watch their games and their crowds sure don't overwhelm anyone though,,lots of open seats,,maybe they;re all focusing on wrestling---and for good reason.

Big Ten is only 6th as a conference in the rpi. They have 4 locks (Purdue, Michigan St, Ohio St & Michigan) and Nebraska is on the bubble.

How crazy is it that in the pre season many of us were just hoping for an NIT bid? This guy should be COY and they need to name the award after him.

OSU with a nice team effort against Iowa. Four guys in double figures. It seems with each passing game our team expands it's ability to hurt the opposing team. Got a nice support from the bench yesterday. Once we get Kam Williams back, and i assume he will be fairly soon, our bench gets that much deeper. Really obvious that the chemistry of this team is good. The body language on the court on the bench is so good. These guys pull for each other and they make the extra pass to get the ball to the open shooter. Sold out gym yesterday, 20,000 . First one I believe since 2013.

The Buckeyes own first place in the conference, despite sitting alone atop the conference, NCAA pre-seeding has them a #4 seed, with Purdue a #1 seed and MSU a #3 seed. Holtmann's kids are not getting much respect and maybe that's not a bad thing at this point.
