Dude, apologies, but I am not understanding how my comment relates to Ontario football/soccer players.

You stated a player's scholarship has not been affected by his suspension. I stated that I have not heard if the same is true for other players who have been suspended for similar reasons.

He did commit to Minnesota. The scholarship is not affected. I am not informed on any other details than that the scholarship is still OK. I have not heard if any of the Ontario football or Soccer players had scholarship commitments. All Ontario soccer players played in their first regular season game of the year.

Not suggesting anything, just stating a fact. You'll have to check with scooty Dude, he was the one doing the suggesting.
There was ONE after all. He didn't play in the varsity game Friday, but played in the JV game Saturday. The issue was, he posted something on social media that ONE soccer parent deemed inappropriate and told the coach. That was his penalty.

joe, the Ontario soccer players in violation of the schools athletic code were disciplined during scrimmages and or a partial game according to another players parent, so they would not have to miss any complete soccer games. Ontario football chose the standard route, as Shelby and most other programs do, and they will use the regular season for discipline.

LOL...It appears another team will be without players for a couple of games.....Suggestion of suspensions..... No suspensions...... It's now been uncovered.....Disciplined during scrimmages??
Sounds like a bad mystery novel or more dishonesty.

Thank you for the update. Since my last question I have spoken to one of last years seniors and they told me both the football and soccer teams at Ontario did have students violate the rules but soccer used practices or scrimmages to suspend and football used a game. Carry on I enjoy reading.

Maybe somebody from Shelby could help me here. I was told that the four players from Shelby were suspension for 5 games but last night the announcers were saying they were suspended for 3 games. which one is right?

One player got 4 because he had a previous minor offense.

Thank you fanofthegame, I wish the media would get things right. I'm telling my son since he works for WLKR here in Norwalk that if he gets any information like this to check into first by (in this case) with the coach or other school officials. After that than he can report it and get it right. ![O_o](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/browraise.png) By the way he does his first game this Friday, Norwalk at Edison. I know he will do a great job at it. He did Muskingum University for 4 years and John Glenn High School to. Everybody liked him because he knew the game and wasn't afraid of voicing his opinion and getting everyone into the game like they were at the game.

After one game? Who knows. I was thinking 5-5 or 6-4 since they were 4-6 in the NOL last year and returned a lot. Coach Hawkins says there's no reason Ontario can't win a league title this year. IMO, that's just coach speak. I'm sure Hawkins would tell you he'd like to be 50-50 pass/run, but I'm pretty sure he'd run on every down if he could win that way. Not very big O-line or D-line even though they have bigger guys on the roster. Thus they stunt and blitz a lot on defense and use the read option and quick hitters on offense. Have a tall slender Soph QB who played a lot last year and will be a good one some day. They have a 6-2 195 WR who's started for 4 years and qualified in 3 events at the State Track meet last year.

As a non-athlete, I felt it was my responsibility to do so many drugs that there was not enough left for Huron athletes to do. GO Tigers ![(rofl)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/rofl.png) How did I miss this lolol

Clearly some character issues with the "leaders" of this team. With these players missing or not, look for The Tigers to roll against Shelby. Go Tigers More like The Whippets to roll against Huron.......

#11 for Ontario has to have offers at the next level and pretty sure that QB will have the scouts drooling over him for next few years if he stays healthy
