Four of the top ten are Big Ten schools. SEC has one among the top ten.
I think Auburn could rise in this poll as the season progresses, possibly Stanford as well. Tom Herman's Texas squad will be an interesting season to watch.
USC is ranked high every year, but always finds a way of blowing themselves up.

Alabama once again will be the team to beat. They are discipline and just get it done. OSU will struggle under JT, UNLESS by some miracle he finds his arm again.

Alabama once again will be the team to beat. They are discipline and just get it done. OSU will struggle under JT, UNLESS by some miracle he finds his arm again. I feel quite the opposite. Alabama was hit hard by graduation and lack experience and depth at QB. Jalen Hurts had a terrific freshman year, but completed only 46% of his passes in the playoffs. If Hurts gets hurt, the backups are shaky. Ohio State was a blocked punt from another undefeated season last year, with the youngest team in football. Kevin Wilson and Ryan Day are both impressed with J.T. This being his last hurrah, he has his game face on, will operate behind an improved OL and throw to a bevy of talented receivers. Defense wins Championships and the Buckeyes are loaded in that regard.

Florida State vs Alabama week 1. What an opener! Hard to pick this one, being played at a 'neutral' site....Atlanta. I like Auburn over Bama this year. It sure won't be Ole Miss this year, who has had Bama's number recently. The Crimson Tide will be in hostile territory at Jordan-Hare stadium on the final weekend of the regular season. Coach Gus Malzahn says he has the most returning starters and most quality depth he's seen in the past 12 years. Michigan/Florida should be a good one. Two programs battling back to respectability, a lot on the line for both. I hate Michigan, but I'll have my Big Ten hat on for this one.
