7:30 pm on ABC
Game 2 of this marquee home and home that has been on the schedule for nearly a decade. This will be the 4th overall meeting between these two top ten programs, and Ohio State leads the series 2-1 with wins at Norman in 1983 & 2016 and a loss in Columbus in 1977.
And for the love of God, please keep this thread on topic.

I guess the major question mark is, how does Mike Weber fit in the scheme of things, from this point forward? Urban has commented, he is a 'special' player. You don't leave a 'special' player off the field and standing on the sidelines.

You do if another special player takes his spot.

You do if another special player takes his spot. Name one player, other than JK, has Urban referred to as a 'special' player?......none. My guess is, Weber will be called on when tough yardage is need near the goal line. We know they inserted Antonio Williams in that situation Thursday night. Other than that, it's anyone's guess as to how they will utilize Weber & Dobbins.

After the game, Urban was asked who would start at TB next week. He paused, grinned and said said "JK Weber".
As I have said hundreds of times. It DOES NOT matter who starts, what matters is who plays at crunch time.

In addition to the prolific performance put forth by this freshman, one thing that gives coaches increasing confidence to call on #2 in any given game situation, J.K. Dobbins had zero mishandles, zero fumbles and has shown he has good hands on swing passes. I see some form of rotation at RB, that will keep both runners happy.

i see Weber punching in cheap TDs and having a really good seat to watch Just Teflon Barrett hand the ball off to JK Dobbins

Dobbins gives them more to worry about, which legitimizes the play action pass. But I expect to see more bubble screens and targeting our TE's. Rest assured, Oklahoma hasn't seen much of our offense yet.

Dobbins Is a prime example of the value of recruiting intelligent players. Other players on the team were amazed how quickly he memorized everything in the play book. On the practice field, when a coach told or showed him something, he never forgot.

I think Vegas is a bit worried about OSU and JT. Only 7.5 point favs at home. Time will tell.

I think Vegas is a bit worried about OSU and JT. Only 7.5 point favs at home. Time will tell. Uh, Ohio State was a slim 1-point road favorite prior to the 2016 game in Norman, at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com and Vegas Insiders. So it appears the odds-makers are less 'worried' than they were last year.

Oklahoma IS the 5th ranked team in the nation. No way it was gonna be a double digit spread. Touchdown plus for a team starting a frosh at rb probably means Vegas was heavy on OSU. Not sure what the line opened at tho?

Sooners have not lost since the Buckeyes beat them 45-24 last Sept. They have won 11 straight scoring at least 34 in every game. Buckeye defense will have it's hands full.

Barrett had a TD pass dropped in the endzone by McClaurin. I was impressed with his decision making in not throwing the short out route with the defender poised for the pick, Barrett through it in the turf four yards short. The offense looks sluggish, expect a different look 2nd half. Defense is not getting to Mayfield with any consistency. Appears they are content to contain him in the pocket. Mayfield has an obvious limp and you can see he's hurting. Not an impressive 1st half by Ohio State.
