Yep, though it's not the first time OSU has played an Army team.
1894: Ohio State 46, Ohio 17th Regiment 4 1994: Ohio State 30, Columbus Barracks 0 1896: Ohio State 10, Columbus Barracks 2 1897: Columbus Barracks 6, Ohio State 0 1918: Ohio State 28, Camp Sherman, OH 0 1942: Ohio State 59, Fort Knox, KY 0
When it comes to the other 2 service academies Ohio State is 5-0 against Navy and 0-1 against Air Force (1990 Liberty Bowl)
And then there's the interesting case of the WW2 military service teams that existed from 1942-1944 and Ohio State played 4 total games against, going 2-2. Ohio State's 1942 National Champion squad defeated the Iowa Navy Pre-Flight Seahawks 41-12, but in 1943 Iowa Navy Pre-Flight won 28-13 in Columbus en route to a 9-1 season and #2 finish in the AP Poll, with their only defeat being a 14-13 loss at #1 Notre Dame. Iowa Navy Pre-Flight would also go 9-1 in 1944, finishing #7 in the AP.
The 1943 Ohio State team also lost to the Great Lakes Navy Bluejackets 13-6, and then beat them 26-6 in 1944. Interesting thing about that is Paul Brown went 0-2 in those games, as 1943 was his last year coaching Ohio State before he joined the Navy, where he coached the Great Lakes team in 1944.

If JT stays in, OSU will again struggle.

Haskins should hopefully get in this game some if JT can do his part.

If you're contemplating a qb change this would be the week to do it.

What to expect? Well if JT Barrett IV has a good game then expect his fanboys to rejoin NCoast and say how great he is even though they have been MIA since the OU game.
The line is OSU by 30 1/2. I expect it to be closer because of Army Head Coach Jim Monken. Jim Monken is the former HC of Georgia Southern. At Georgia Southern in 2011 as a 1-AA team, Monken played Nick Saban's eventual National Champion Bama team tough losing 45-21 (24-14 at the half) At Georgia Southern in 2013 as a 1-AA team, Monken played Florida and beat Florida 26-20.
I see Army beating the spread, but OSU winning 38-14.

well if Army does beat us one thing will be certain...it won't be JT Barrett's fault, it will be everyone else's

VERY CORRECT
The JT homeboys have been MIA because they have no excuse to bring to the table.

always feels a little weird rooting against the military schools haha
i'd like to see OSU get up early and run away, i'd like to see Haskins get on the field even if it's scrub duty just to get some eyes on the kid

5th year JT. Totally and completely boring. Dont let the stat line fool ya, he still cant throw downfield and when we face another good D. OSU will be in trouble. Dobbins is a future heisman.

Dobbins, ELITE already. Can't wait to see gill at h back next year. Haskins didn't get long but he came in slinging the ball. Uptempo, it was nice.
