That's confusing...Clyde, Sandusky predicted 9-1 but Bellevue 6-4. If Sandusky and Clyde went 9-1 then Bellevue would be 7-3. I suppose they are predicting an unforeseen scenario involving a TC, Perkins or Norwalk upset.

Looking like Huron would be in the playoffs possibly even at a 6-4 season. 7-3 Tigers would be definitely in.

After last years debacle it wouldn't surprise me.

Bay?
River?

Huron, Edison and vermilion have a shot in the Bay div. With all three teams having to play each other still this season, I expect one of them will be sitting out. Huron will have to run the table to get in and Edison may be able to sneak in at 7-3.

Drew Pasteur predicts Bellevue at 6-4 and finishing 9th in Div. IV Region 14. He has Pepper Pike Orange finishing 8th at 8-2 with a 3 point win this weekend over West Geauga. So that's a big game for the Redmen, otherwise they will probably have to upset Sandusky or Clyde. I would like to see them make the playoffs and get a Clear Fork rematch. Here's Drew's Sandusky prediction: (All wins but yet he has them at 9-1 to finish. Looks like a simple error and no Bellevue upset. Schedule and results Aug 25 (W1) W 41-7 A #273 Port Clinton (3-3 D4 R14), pick: W by 4 (57%) Sep 01 (W2) W 35-13 A #233 Huron (4-2 D5 R18), pick: W by 8 (66%) Sep 08 (W3) W 16-15 A #102 Fremont Ross (4-2 D2 R6), pick: W by 6 (63%) Sep 15 (W4) W 56-0 H #637 Toledo Rogers (0-6 D3 R10), pick: W by 39 (98%) Sep 22 (W5) W 58-0 H #590 Toledo Bowsher (0-6 D2 R6), pick: W by 32 (97%) Sep 29 (W6) W 56-8 H #413 Tiffin Columbian (0-6 D2 R6), pick: W by 29 (96%) Oct 06 (W7) A #307 Norwalk (2-4 D3 R10), pick: W by 21 (90%) Oct 13 (W8) H #67 Clyde (6-0 D3 R10), pick: W by 2 (55%) Oct 20 (W9) A #150 Bellevue (4-2 D4 R14), pick: W by 9 (70%) Oct 27 (W10) H #453 Sandusky Perkins (0-6 D3 R10), pick: W by 31 (97%)

concreteman89,
I think Huron is easily in at 7-3, in fact if things fall right they could get in at 6-4... I don't see why they have to "run the table."
That said, it feels like Sandusky, Clyde -- then Shelby, Edison, Huron are the five teams that make it in. Bellevue, Port Clinton have shots but we'll see...

So that's a big game for the Redmen Bellevue has two opportunities Friday night? Games with biggest playoff implications 11) Lorain Clearview (5-1 D4 R14) at Columbia Station Columbia (4-2 D6 R21) 23) Pepper Pike Orange (5-1 D4 R14) at Chesterland West Geauga (3-3 D4 R13)

Cbus, I think when Drew does projections, he figures in the odds for all the games in predicting total wins. So if a team is favored by just a few points in 2 or 3 games, the math would say that the team would be expected to lose one of those games

That's messed up.

If all the teams with the better record win in week 10 then Region 14 will end like this
1 - 32.70 - Clear Fork 2 - 25.15 - St Marys Memorial 3 - 25.00 - Shelby 4 - 20.10 - Highland 5 - 18.85 - Orange 6 - 17.03 - Clearview 7 - 16.90 - Wauseon 8 - 14.85 - Firelands
Highland plays (7-2) Northmor and if they lose they'd drop down to around 16.85 Bellevue with a win over Clyde would jump up to around 18.80 It's not far fetched that Bellevue upsets Clyde and Northmor upsets Highland. Those 2 small upsets could catapult Bellevue into a Home playoff game
Shelby's week 11 opponent will most likely be Clearview or Wauseon. It's pretty much a toss up. If Shelby only has 1 crew that goes out scouting then I would choose Steubenville. I don't even think scouting Wauseon or Clearview is worthwhile in week 10 as they both play bad teams and you don't know which one you will be playing. Steubenville plays (7-2) Hunting Valley University School a team that's clinched a playoff spot in D3.

How many SBC teams make the playoffs?
According to Joe Eitel (joeeitel.com), he has Clyde and Sandusky in D3 and Shelby in D4. If Bellevue beats Clyde next Friday, I believe they would get in in D4 as well. In D5, Edison controls its own destiny so if they win, they're in. In D7, Calvert is still alive.
So the minimum is 3 and the maximum is 6.

well edison jumped up to fifth in region 18 thanks to bryan upsetting liberty center and eastwood coming back from 14 point deficit to beat genoa that helped edison a lot. now we are pointing for fortth place otsego.they have 15.4222 points to fifth place edison 14.9222. we are 2 points ahead of liberty cener and they have 1-8 patrick henry. meanwhile the chargers have huron 5-4 at home and should beat them. but we are looking at otsego and they have 4-5 rossford and the bulldogs gave fostoria 5-3 a beating. so if edison beats huron and rossford beats otsego we shoulg grab 4th place in region 18 and a home game.

According to Drew Pasteur Calvert has a 99% chance of being in with a win this week and an 89% chance of still making it in with a loss.

Huron at 5-4 is barely alive.
#1 Has to beat Edison
#2 Lake has to lose to Eastwood
#3 Indian Lake has to lose to Ben Logan
#4 Swanton has to lose to Archbold
toughest of those 4 to happen is #1.... 2 and 4 are probable, 3 is a toss up

^^^ If all that did happen, Then we (Huron) get the #8 seed, And play at #1 Eastwood ? Yuck ! Guess the only positive thing about all that, is finding a good place to eat supper in Pemberville.

You obviously do not understand what making the playoffs would do for the players and the program for the future, even if they get crushed in round #1. On paper it may not mean or say much, but winning and making the playoffs keeps numbers up and build confidence in the younger players for next year and years to come. You may not enjoy it as a fan, but the kids get much more out of it than just a win or a loss.

Huron will not make the playoffs and they don't deserve to either. Two losses against teams they should have beat. One loss is excusable, maybe, but two, you're done. The team should be better next year. On to basketball.. TIGERS 2017-18 SBC Bay Champs.
GO Tigers

Dump, Don't get down on your team yet, they may surprise you and beat Edison and get in. You never know what might happen. That is one great thing about high school sports, anything can happen and they usually do. You have always been very supportive of Huron, even though you can be over bearing, but you have been there for the tigers. Don't stop now, keep it going and support and believe in your team. When I lost my arm over 40 years ago I have never stop believing in myself and I was determent in showing people that I can still do just about everything I did with two arms. I can't though do some things that I did before, like jump out of airplane, go airborne, I can't play my musical instruments, but the one thing I miss the most is that I can't twiddle my thumbs. So don't give up keep on believing in your team, it might happen.

Hmm..... looking ahead at a possible week 13 matchup between the unbeaten Shelby and Clear Fork. Where could they possibly play that would be equal distance for them??? Arlin Field would be rocking!!!! All of Richland and surrounding counties might be at that one! Just thinking ahead.
