I predict osu has top class over bama this year. We have upped them (Bama) with the quality aspect the past couple years and they edged out the Buckeyes with simply, more recruits. Urban has been knocking on the door every year, hope this is the year the Buckeyes own the recruiting crown.

Yes last years quality best I've ever remembered. Quality over quantity any day. They should base it over quality to be honest. But I think overall this is our year for both.

As I mentioned in an earlier post we are looking good for Cook right now and it's between us and FSU for Teradja Mitchell, the #1 ranked inside LB according to Scout. I'd love to pair Mitchell with Gant.

Steve Wiltfong changed his Mitchell prediction from Ohio state to Florida state after Mitchell's recent visit. Right now Florida state has 79% on the crystal ball predictions. Hopefully Urban can sway him back to Ohio state.

Unfortunately, we can't win 'em all. Jimbo Fisher is a formidable recruiter of young talent.

The nations #2 OLB Teradja Mitchell has his long list of choices narrowed down between Ohio State and Florida State. He announced he will make his decision on June 2nd at 7 p.m. 'Experts' favor FSU in this one, let's hope they are wrong once again.

The top DE in Ohio's 2019 recruiting class might not be from Lexington, rather from Olentangy Orange. Zach Harrison, a Sophomore sprinter. Who runs on their Regional qualifying 4X100, 4X200 and 4x400 relay teams and also qualified in the 200 meters. His best time of the year in the 200 is a crazy 21.59.... for a 16 year old who's 6-6 245. Some are saying he could end up being the #1 DE in the country's 2019 class.

Have also heard he will be a 5 star #1 DE most likely. Crazy quick. That's a must get for osu. Him and stover if could keep in Ohio would be a big get.

Ohio State received commitment #11 for the 2018 recruiting class. 4* DE Andrew Chapman from Ft. Lauderdale American Heritage.
The Buckeyes beat out LSU, Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisville, North Carolina, Oregon, Michigan State, and many others for this coveted 6-3 285 DE.

A consensus of the recruiting services have him at 6-2 215. Probably why he's 15th nationally at his position. He must be fast/quick enough to play LB, OSU surely isn't recruiting him to play DE.
His last name is Chatfield, maybe that's why you have the wrong measurables.

Buckeyes get #1 ILB Terajda Mitchell. 2018 Class is starting to look scary. Ohio State.....Florida State take your positions, one of you will walk away with the grand prize. And the winner is....................THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY! What a crazy week it has been, with the commitment of the nations #2 OLB and then the nations #1 or #2 ILB (depending on source) Both are 4.0 students at high schools with 100% college prep curriculums (Toledo St. Johns Jesuit & Virginia Beach (Va.) Bishop Sullivan) It doesn't get any more impressive than this.

I had the name and measurables wrong...lol 247 Sports lists him at 6-3 210 and Eleven Warriors and others have him at 6-2 221. Like you said, a little slight for DE at this level, they have something in mind for him, and LB seems the most likely.

Andrew Chatfield commit may be making a lot more sense, now that I think about it.
There is a strong possibility: Urban may be accepting the commitment of Chatfield in order to nail the big prize......Andrew's American Heritage team-mate, 5* Patrick Surtain Jr., who is the #1 CB in the nation and the #3 player in the nation, any position. Urban had success with similar maneuvers in the past and don't underestimate his shrewd capabilities in this regard.

The possibility to land 3 players of this caliber from the same school is insane. Tyson is a 4* CB, rated the #4 CB in the nation by 2-4-7 Sports, has great size and athleticism at 6-2.5 180. It appears to be a four team race for his services between Ohio State, Clemson, LSU & Miami. Experts project the Buckeyes the favorite.

Based on the past draft, if you were one of the top DBs in the country you would be crazy to go anywhere other than Ohio State.

Urban lands one of the top running backs in the country! 5-11 210 Master Teague out of Murfreesboro, Tennessee He went through testing including strength and flexibility work for Mickey Marotti. Teague put up spectacular numbers including a sub 4.4 40-yard dash time, a 42.5” vertical, and bench pressing 225 pounds 16 times!

Seems star ratings can be taken with a dose of salt, if the athlete is from a well respected high school program, known for producing top notch college athletes, they get a higher star rating than from a lesser known school.

The Buckeyes are continuing to separate from the rest of the college football recruiting world. The Bucks are flat-out killing it! 4* Matt Jones 6-4 315 OL/DL from Brooklyn Erasmus Hall, N.Y., and Under Armour All-American and the #3 offensive tackle in the country and #20 at any position, commits to the Buckeyes!
This is interesting, Erasmus Hall (high school) is one of the oldest high schools in the nation. It is listed on the national historical register, founded in 1787.
In 1994, after years of poor academic scores, the huge Erasmus Hall High School was divided internally into five smaller high schools, each concentrating on a different academic area. The five schools have separate administrations and faculties, and hold classes in different sections of the large building. However, they use the common lunchroom, gymnasium, library and auditorium at separate times during the day. This division created no changes on the exterior of the building.
Five separate high schools now operate on the Erasmus Hall Educational Campus:
Academy for College Preparation and Career Exploration: A College Board School
Academy of Hospitality and Tourism
High School for Service & Learning at Erasmus
High School for Youth and Community Development at Erasmus
Science, Technology and Research Early College High School/Middle School at Erasmus

Monday July 17 (3 p.m.) is a very big and important day for Ohio State recruiting. Jeremy Ruckert, the nations top TE recruit for 2018 has his short list to OSU, Mich, ND and Whisky.
Most experts favor Ohio State in this one, but I say not so fast. Michigan presents a strong case in winning Ruckert's services, summed up in two words......Jake Butt. Jake Butt has clearly been the best player on the Wolverine team and perhaps the best in the country the past few seasons and underscores how much the TE position is instrumental in their offensive scheme. Keep your fingers crossed. If Ruckert chooses the Buckeyes, we will have tremendous recruiting momentum going forward and ignite our appeal with some of the finest recruits in the nation.
