This will be the 46th meeting between these Route 20 Rivals, and the first time the matchup has been a conference game. Bellevue leads the series 28-14-3 and won last year's game 66-22.

Oh, I see the 50\50 getting higher than that. I remember one year at the Monroeville\St.Paul's game it was as high as the winner took home 1,500 that night. I wish it was me nut I never win, unless it's whiskey which isn't bad on those late October early November night games.

This is always a great game to be at. Especially if your on the winning side. Bellevue must beat Clyde to get in. Currently 6-3 All three loses to teams that are combined 27-0 thus far. IMO, Bellevue coulda shoulda beat Clear Fork. Bellevue played their best game yet against Sandusky. They'll have to take that play to Clyde and they know it. The intensity on the field for this game is always insane. Its a win or turn in your equipment type of game for Bellevue, not to mention the Rivalry. I can't wait to see what happens. Bellevue wins with a 50 yard field goal as time expires. Bellevue fans tear down the goal post. 45-42 Bellevue
Bellevue vs Clyde, Redmen vs Fliers, 44811 vs 43410, 483 vs 547, Oakland Ave vs Race St

How does Bellevue kick a 50 yd fg when they haven't even attempted an extra point kick in over a decade?

If Clyde plays like last year Bellevue will be kicking extra points not field goals.

Great team effort by the Redmen tonight. The Flyers did not score 1 offensive touchdown the entire game and the Bellevue defensive line owned Clyde at the line of scrimmage. to be honest with you I never saw it coming I said two or three weeks ago I felt the Fliers were overrated this year but I still felt that they had enough that they might beat us. Bellevue is coming on at a good time right now with the playoffs next week. I just really don’t want to see Shelby week 11

This was Bellevue's first win at Clyde since 2009 and first back-to-back wins over Clyde since 08 and 09.
Clyde got on the board in the 1st with a pair of FG's, one of which came after a Bellevue fumble. Bellevue answered with a TD to go up 7-6 early in the 2nd, but on their next possession fumbled a snap that Clyde ran back for their only TD. Francis then broke a long TD to cut it to 14-13 (PAT low and blocked.) On Bellevue's net possession McPeak made an amazing one handed diving catch along the sideline in the endzone for an apparent TD, but was called back for a holding call that came out so late that even the chain gang had started moving into kickoff position and had to be reset.
Bellevue got a nice bounce on the 3rd quarter kickoff that pinned Clyde deep, and after Clyde got a couple first downs and then punted Francis broke another long TD on Bellevue's first play to go up 19-14 (2pt no good). Francis would later break another long one late in the 3rd to put Bellevue up 27-14. In the 4th Bellevue was in full clock kill mode and Clyde kept throwing INTs. After Clyde had thrown an INT for a touchback, Bellevue had it 2nd and long and there was a bad snap that Francis fell on.
And then Nasonti did something that at time seemed very odd, but to his credit, turned out to be brilliant. Having just seen a bad snap deep in his own territory and knowing how well his defense was playing, he had Francis line up in the shot gun like normal, and then just before the snap he took a few steps back...then took the snap and punted the ball away. On 3rd down. It turned out to be his best punt of the night, and since Clyde was not expecting it they ended up with the ball back around their own 40-35 or so. Either one or two plays later Clyde threw yet another INT, only this time it was caught around midfield and ran back for a game sealing pick 6.
