Roughing the snapper. 15-yard penalty (or half the distance to the goal line in this case) and automatic first down.

Great season for sandusky and nothing to be ashamed of
So tough to beat a team twice in a season let alone weeks.

Complete domination by Clyde. Really didn't see this coming. Great job Fliers! 3rd time Clyde has avenged a regular season loss in the playoffs under Carter.

My take for what it's worth. Sandusky got out coached yes, losing Alexander didn't allow them to score 35. Maybe when sandusky was blowing teams out, Franklin should have got his backup qb more reps instead of chasing numbers. Clyde deserved to win, sandusky had numerous bone headed penalties and some calls that were awful but Clyde wanted it more. Unfortunately there season ends next week. Their* And you act like Clyde has never beaten Central Catholic before. I’ve seen Central Catholic play this year and they aren’t the normal power house that you would expect. I’d put Clyde, or a healthy Sandusky, against them and say that they would win. Clyde has a chance.

In all honestly I don’t think Sandusky knew what was coming at them... This Clyde team looked like they were well prepared for this game and they just HAMMERED Sandusky... We left with 10 minutes to go ....Yes the Qb did get injured and by no means was it intentional just a great hit ... We were standing and seen it first hand... Prayers for that young man...Clyde was already up 14-0 at that point... I just don’t believe that the Sandusky coaches had their kids ready ... Good luck Clyde next week... Clyde jumped on sandusky first in the first game as well but it wasn't 14-0. However, when you have Alexander, he can get you back in the game real fast. Clyde out played sandusky but the entire complextion of the game changed without Alexander on both sides of the ball. Plus there is a leadership factor that is huge when your leader goes down. Congrats to Clyde and I give them 5 percent chance of winning against TCC, the team they had last time they beat them was way better but anything can happen in playoff football.

"There were a lot of questionable calls, one I hadn't seen in 20 years," Franklin said. "One I never heard of. I understand there's a rule, but I've never seen it called in 20-some years, 20-30 playing it."
Was he referring to last night's game or his flop in their last game vs Clyde? There's so much irony in his quote and certainly karma.

Watching Alexander go down in the first quarter made me sick to my stomach for the young man. To have his high school career come to a end like that is terrible. It changed the whole game for the streaks. Great season Blue Streaks and good luck the rest of the way Fliers.

I say BS...And as for only giving the Clyde team a 5% chance on winning next week is lame and just a way to make you feel better over the domination a Clyde put on YOUR ONE MAN BAND OF A (team) ...When was the last time Sandusky beat TCC.? This game now will go down as ...When Alexander the GREAT went down.... THEY ALL FELL DOWN....Now right there is something to FLOP about! Good luck SBC Fliers ... We are pulling for you,,

Sbc95 The problem when Alexander went down was coach Franklin. All year when Sandusky was up 50-0 on teams he kept Alexander in the whole game. The backup had no idea what was going on when he had to go out their against a very good Clyde team. I also disagree with people saying even if Alexander was in their it wouldn't have mattered. Alexander is a special player and Sandusky based there offense around him. Not saying Sandusky would have won but I can bet it wouldn't have been 35-0. And Streak Clyde definitely has more of a 5% chance to beat TCC. Clyde is a very well coached team and has been in this situation before. Like I said good season Blue Streaks and good luck Clyde beat the Irish!

.......and the official standing in the endzone almost 40 yds. away could see that? It was very blatant. Super easy to see on video and the officials view was unobstructed. Wasn't questioning the call really. I was watching the ball and the uprights, and only saw the official in the endzone throw a flag. Didn't really see the players because I wasn't watching there. Anyway, the Streaks hurt themselves a few times with personal foul/late hit calls. That seems to be a problem for them as it happens too often in their games. I feel really bad for Alexander. Tough, tough way to finish a great season. Truthfully, the Streaks didn't seem well prepared for this game, and when Alexander went down, you could just see they got a... "what are we gonna do now!".... look about them. I agree that the young man who had to come in and play QB seemed lost back there. You could tell he hadn't played much Friday night football. That's on the coach. Would the Streaks have rallied with Alexander? I think they would have. Would they won with Alexander? I don't think so. Not last night anyway. Clyde was the better team. Simple as that. Good luck, Clyde, against TCC. Anything is possible. I'm pulling for you.

We are pulling for you,, He went down in the second offensive series. There’s no question in my mind he would’ve got it going. He always has. With that said, it’s not about being a one man band. But losing your star QB, your biggest playmaker, and your leader LIKE THAT is demoralizing. The game spiraled down from there. Would Clyde have won had Alexander stayed in? It’s definitely possible they would have... But to think it would’ve been a 35 point win tells me you don’t understand the impact a special player like him has on the team. I’ve seen it several times before when an important player goes down. It’s a punch to the gut. Especially when it’s possibly the last game of his storied high school career. Also, your comments about Alexander are ignorant and prove you can’t be taken seriously. Kid went down with a pretty bad injury and you’re using that as a platform for your idiocy.

He went down before the end of the first quarter and after that there was absolutely no threat in the passing game and clyde loaded the box for the last 3 quarters, which held Stewart in check. Yes there are other weapons but as someone said when you lose your senior captain in that way the team is going to feel it.
Now did Sandusky hurt themselves? Yes, 88 had two seperate personal foul/unsportsman like penalties the first of which would have ended Clyde's first drive but put them in position to go down and score their first TD. Then another TD handed to them on the penalty from the field goal attempt.

Does Alexander play basketball as well? Hope the ankle break is a simple one that will heal fully and allow him to play in college. Saw this pic in the paper.

The Clyde team came in loaded up and was more prepared to take on the SBC lake division lone champs ... Who I believed looked past Clyde and thought cake walk ...Clyde might have not gotten that goose egg but they most definitely would of come out on top ...

IMO I just think Clyde has the better coaching, and we’re vastly more prepared.
I don’t buy the whole senior standout, best player, demoralizing injury took the wind out of the sails bit. When that happens you as a team and especially those two other elite athletes we talked about in the beginning of the post have to step up. The defense had to step up and they didn’t.

Again would win loss have been the same who knows but you can't tell me that losing a 3 year starter/D1 recruit at QB doesn't mean anything...how many of those type of football players come out of this area every year?

I hope Alexander get's well real soon but take your time, get well rested and just let your body do the healing, you just do some upper body lifting then when your ankle heals to where you can start walking, slowly, just ease yourself into lifting your lower body and don't over do it. You have a great future ahead of you at the next level of play. Good luck young man.

cbus, You don't have to worry about what I said to Alexander. I was coaching football for a long time. I also, since I'm retired, do a lot of volunteering at our local hospital and I keep my self up to date with medical changes by keeping my training in class is up to date. plus I'm married to a nurse and she keeps her licensing renew. So I think you don't have to worry about me giving wrong advice. ok

I'm sure loosing Alexander changed the offense big time but giving up 35 points on "D" is not because your missing your safety. Part of the game, hope for a quick recovery for this young man and good luck to the well coached Fliers and take care of tcc.
