That last score might do it unfortunately. Sportsnut is right, Shelby can’t stop the run.

Yeah Coach Will has an awesome program in place there in Shelby, honestly they will reload and be playoff contender for another couple of years as well...with all of the underclassmen that saw action this season and in the playoffs...they will be ready in 2018...to reload/retool both sides of the ball

Steubenville scored twice, possibly 3 time7s, on 4th down plays. Won battle up front and armstrong had little time to do anything. Both sides of ball they controlled line of scrimmage.

By product of not playing a tough enough schedule this year for Shelby?

So by having a tougher schedule Shelby would’ve made it one game further? Why can’t we just say Steubenville was just better and made a few more plays? I think I read somewhere that this is their 5th straight final four appearance? Schedule had nothing to do with it.

Only one team in the state has more playoff appearances. Only one team in the state has more Final Four appearances. A private school.

There is a long list of “thIngs” that contributed to this loss. Both of these contributed. Shelby ran out of steam by the fourth quarter. Having hardly played in the fourth made a difference. Having “been there” makes a difference. There are a few others.

Any team who is struggling stopping the run and getting off of the field defensively is going to"run out of steam" in the 4th quarter.

I find this interesting when there are those on this site that were ripping Shelby for having their players in late in games with a running clock.

Shelby, I don't care what some people say but you players have done an excellent job this year and you have every right to be proud of yourselves as your parents are of you. Your community is proud of you, your coaches are to and so are your teachers and classmates. You took the school to a new level and along the way you accomplish things not only for the school but for yourselves. Again Shelby thanks for ride and the time for sharing your joy of a great season.

Did Steubenville play their starters the entire 4th quarter in every game?

What I would like to know is out of all those schools that Steubenville has played in the season of the first ten games, how many of those are conference games or are they independent. In Shelby's case being in a conference, it can only make you so strong considering there are going to be weak teams in a conference. Steubenville if they are independent can pick all the strong teams they want. So considering all of this Shelby has done one hell of a job and should be proud of their accomplishments. That's my 2 cents of it so if anybody disagrees go ahead and put your nickel in.

Amazing that the Big Red had only TWO away games. I have seen pictures of their stadium and it looks great...very well maintained. Next season will Steubenville play the same teams and have only TWO home games?

Next season will Steubenville play the same teams and have only TWO home games? No. For the most part, Steubenville insists on playing games in their stadium. This is why they end up playing several out of state schools.

Hey BB, that company does a great job of videotaping the games. They do a lot of the Columbus area schools and Zanesville area. They would like to get more schools from our area because they know that here we are part of a wide area from Cleveland to Akron/Canton to the Columbus area's is considered the hot bed of High School Football. If anybody wants to more of their work go on you tube and then They do teams like Dublin Coffman, Pickerington Schools, Westerville Schools and a WHOLE LOT more. It would be worth you wild for us football fans.
