On January 31 we will have three things happening to our moon. 1st. one is we will be having a SUPER MOON again that night. The 2nd. thing that will happen that night is we will be under a BLUE MOON. Since we are having a full moon now, when Jan. 31, comes around we will have a 2nd. full moon in the month thus the term blue moon cause this event only happens 2 1/2 years. And the third thing that will happen that night is that we also will be having a BLOOD MOON. On the other side of the world they will be having a lunar eclipse and the sun rays will be filtering through and this gives off a red tint on the moon thus the blood moon. The blood moon will happen sometime after midnight I believe. Well there's my fun fact for the year.

This is tonight! Something that hasn't happened in 150 years in North America. Pretty Cool!

From the newspaper:
"North America will be treated to a blue moon, super moon and a lunar eclipse all at once during the early morning hours of Wednesday. The full moon will rise on the evening of Tuesday, Jan. 30, and set around daybreak on Wednesday, Jan. 31, local time."
Well, it technically is 1/31 but at midnight, so it is tonight, leading into tomorrow morning. That is, if the newspaper is correct. I also saw it reported on the weather channel. Starting tonight into tomorrow morning.
