March* 125 bracket is crazy Looking forward to see what adjustments Snyder does in his rematch The Michigan HVWT. Adam Coon is a physical freak. Snyder was the superior wrestler technically, but he just couldn't overcome the physical mass and strength of Coon. I look foreward to the rematch.

Ohio state just won the championship for the second straight year and 3 of the last 4. Snyder avenged his loss to coon with a great double OT win, getting a takedown to win 4-2.

Correction, Snyder’s match was 4 OT’s. Wow! I watched the 1st period and had to leave for a meeting. I know Ohio State had the B1G title wrapped up going into the Hvwt. I hope BTN replays the tournament in it's entirety.

I watched the whole 3 hours. It was exciting. Snyder match was like a David vs Goliath 2.0
Kyle really is undersized for a HWT,,shows how good he is by still beating someone 60-70 lbs heavier. That Coon was a brute.

That Coon was a brute. Does anyone know both Snyder and Coon's height and weight? I'm guess Snyder checks in around 6'4 250 I'm also guessing Coon is about 6'7 285 Snyder stood his ground this time and showed a lot of patience. The last time they squared off at the dual meet, Coon out-muscled him and got his massive torso on top position.

The announcers yesterday said that Synder wrestles internationally at 213 lbs, but that he's probably closer to 225 lbs right now. Also said Coon was around 300 lbs, but dropped the required weight to get to 285 lbs. I find it odd that HS has a 220 lb weight class, but college doesn't. Regardless, interesting match to watch.

Coon is about 6’5” and the damn nicest kid you could ever want to meet. He and my son wrestled on the same USAW Michigan team several years ago and I used to tease Adam about wrestling at tOSU just about the same time he declared for Michigan. He is smart as a lick too. His dad is the head coach at Fowlerville HS and Adam was a two year Greco and FS Champ at Fargo as well as a four year HS champ and just as humble as they come. I’m a Buckeye to the bone but if Snyder loses, this is the one kid I can honestly say would deserve it and I can’t wait to see them both on Team USA!

Thanks for the interesting background on Adam Coon. He seemed very low key and matter of fact, even after his earlier upset of Snyder. Can't wait till the NCAA Championships and we should see round three between these dynamic HVWTS.

Coon also wants to play in the NFL.
Already has his degree in Aerospace Engineering. He'd love to be an Astronaut, but knows he's too large. Would like to work for NASA, doing research on ways for larger people to get into outer space.

Would like to work for NASA, doing research on ways for larger people to get into outer space. I know the answer to that one right off the top of my head, without all the time consuming research; Decrease the number of packages, while increasing the volume.....one less astronaut in shipment. ....and I'm not even an Aerospace Engineer....lol Seriosly, he will be a beast in Olympic, Greco Roman wrestling and as a DL in the NFL. His high intelligence factor would be conducive to quickly learning and mastering his new role as a football down lineman.

The NFL might be a reality for him as he has the size and physical skill I think to play down lineman and coming out of HS he had a full ride offer at UM if I recall correctly, but chose to wrestle instead. The kids smart enough, he didn’t need the sports offers, and I’ve seen him practice too. Works harder and has all the tools and is coachable. If he has his mind set to do it, there’s a very good chance it will happen. Adam is just one of those people that refuses to fail.
