I would imagine this is the first matchup between these two schools.

Really looking forward to attending this game! Norwayne may be 2 divisions smaller than Norwalk but they are a perennial playoff team in D5. They will be incredibly well coached and fundamental. Norwayne lost to Mogadore last week at home 35-34. Hope Coach Fox is able to get the team focused for back-to-back huge games for the Truckers! Love watching Raymore carry the football, he's a thick back!

This game scares me a little. I'm sure Norwayne will be fuming after losing by a PAT, and Truckers are playing in unknown territory. And, as mentioned, I'm concerned about penalties. Norwalk needs to clean that area.

Whoever said Norwayne is a little powerhouse, you are right. Just down the road from me and while small they are mighty. Norwalk takes them lightly, its goodnight for them.

Norwalk rolls again. They outta roll, with two D1 transfers and a capable coach they outta roll everyone right into league play. Maybe they will scare the Bay teams away though and schedule some more d3 teams again. Not just try to play down all the time. I will give them credit for scheduling Mansfield though.
Anyway, back to the game, they will have more depth than Norwayne and they will out size and speed them more than likely. I'll take the Truckers by 21

This is a very good Norwalk team that might just hit between 8-2 and 10-0 this season.

I hope Norwalk is good... and I know it was just a scrimmage, but there is no way I can look past how bad they looked against Huron (Preview). Mansfield win is huge, but I didn't SEE it-- I'll buy in a little more if they look good these next two weeks.

But they looked good in their scrimmages against Olmsted Falls (a very good D2 program) and against Genoa (another quality team that is a few divisions smaller). The one time they haven't looked good is in the preview.

I'll take the Truckers by 21 The days of questioning Norwalk's schedule has come and gone. Of their 10 games, 7 of them were playoff teams a year ago. Comparing Norwayne to Delta/Bedford Chanel from a few years back is ignorant. Don't be surprised to see this Norwayne game be a lot tougher for the Truckers than the Mansfield Senior game. This isn't the same brand of undisciplined football.

Norwayne is 30-6 the last three years and have obviously been to the playoffs those years as well. Don’t take them lightly even with two studs.

Interesting difference between the Calpreps and Drew Pasteur projections for this game:
calpreps: Norwayne 34 Norwalk 17 Pasteur: Norwalk by 8

30-6 the last 2 years that true but its filled with a ton of cupcakes, 9-1 regular season last year and only 2 teams they played had a winning record. And with that they were D6 schools that had the winning records. And to say Norwalk's going in to this pinning its chances of winning on the 2 "studs" means you haven't seen the roster. This team is loaded and gets huge contributions from 6-7 legit players. It'd be interesting who on the Norwayne roster tried to simulate Raymore on the scout team lol.

Not sure if there is racial connotation to that last comment, but if there is you don’t know Norwayne’s demographics very well. If there wasn’t my apologies

I would think a new Coach who seemed to do a pretty good job at Calvert and a bunch of good talent buying into his program would be the reason we may see a turnaround from Norwalk this year. Two D1 recruits/studs will not get you there alone. If I remember correctly Monroeville was a very average team last year in the weak FC.

Racial reallly?? NO Im saying how do you duplicate the strength and speed of Raymore I dont care what team it is he is one of the best backs in the area making it nearly impossible to give your defense a good look at what they will see on Friday nights against the Truckers.

Norwayne had to "simulate'" something MUCH MORE difficult than Raymore and Norwalk when they beat the The Mauks and Kenton the year they won a State Championship.

This comparison of D6 Vs. D3 is old and doesn't have any legit merit to it in many ways
D6-Coldwater, Marion Local, Kirtland D4-Cardinal Mooney
Just to name a few off the top of my head I would pick over Norwalk without hesitation. I am not trying to take anything away from the Truckers by any means, but as an old sane man once said don't count your chickens b4they hatch.
I like Norwayne's chances simply due to their pedigree of winning, that's all those kids playing right now know how to do is win.

This team, if they in fact did look good against Olmsted Falls, is way too inconsistent to get excited about... I’m sure the team that got rolled by a Norwayne was the team that showed up against Huron.

Looks like you don't quite know as much about things as you profess. If Norwayne played cupcakes, just what kind of pastries don the Trucker schedule, past and present?
Curious though, who is your avitar?

7-1 is Norwayne’s record against teams they’ve played that have made the playoffs. The one loss was to Dalton who lost in the Regional Final last year. Cupcake in a way, but with that being said, you did just get beat by a “cupcake.” By the way I went back to 17,16, and 15.
