The writing is on the wall. Urban is done with OSU and everyone knows it. I think he's gone in 2 years.
Urban is "done with OSU" AND "everyone knows it". Yet he's going to coach 2 more years. That goes to the top of the list of the silliest posts in the past 10 years
I do not follow it, as close as you guys do. Does seem a bit strange though, with players transferring, younger players declaring for the draft, and the coaching carousal. Something is going on in Columbus, and is very noticeable, to the general sports public.

What's so strange about it? Players that are going to be drafted want to be paid. Players that know they aren't going to see the field transfer. And assistant coaches leaving for head coaching positions or different jobs happens every year. As long as Urban is still the head coach is all that matters in the coaching part.
I don't follow it much after the bowl games are over, Just seems like Buckeyes football is in the news more often than usual, for this time of the year.

Another one of your 'brilliant' statements. Go back to your michigan sites, where you belong.
So because I post something that doesn't aline with you, you have to make a jab? Nowhere did I say this was going to happen, but its something I believe.

The troll of all trolls responds. Vegas had you at 100% that you would respond to my post with yet another childish post. The King of Know-It-All.

"Urban is done in 2 years and everybody knows it" that was your statement which means you believe everyone thinks he's done.

I respect your right to believe what you want to believe. It would give you much more credibility if you can give us some specific actions or statements from Urban Meyer to substantiate your assertion.
My take on Urban and Ohio State is; I've never seen Urban more laid back and relaxed in all his years of coaching college football. It is consistently apparent, he is truly enjoying his coaching experience at Ohio State. Coaches change their situation when they are no longer enjoying what they are doing. Nothing has indicated anything remotely the case with Urban and his family.

You're such a dumb troll you don't know what the definition troll is.
Everyone can agree, moving Ed Warriner to OC proved to be a disaster and Tim Beck, the reviews have been mixed on his contribution to this team. Ed grabbing what amounts to be a huge downturn in jobs to a position coach at Minnesota. His recent tweet pretty much verifies my suspicions, that he was let go by Ohio State and quickly grabbed anything available.
"There comes a time in life, when you walk away from all the drama and the people who create it. Surround yourself with people who make you laugh, forget the bad, and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right. Pray for the ones who don't. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is part of life, getting back up is living."

Ohio State would be better now if Warriner had not been given the position of co-offensive coordinator, along with coaching the O-line. You've heard of the Peter Principle?
Red shirt freshman OG Tyler Gerald and WR James Clark, both hampered by injuries in short stint with the Buckeyes have announced they are leaving the program. With Clark, it must have been apparent, the numbers and talent depth at his positioon were against him. Tyler was in a better position to contribute the coming season, so his reasonings are somewhat of a mystery at this point.
The room is getting less crowded at WR, with the announcement that Alex Stump is transferring to Vanderbilt. The Buckeyes are only one player shy of the 85 player mandate.

Interesting when Urban said the top group of players are really good and the young players are really good. There's a group of 10-15 players in the middle that have to improve. From that group will come the players who will transfer next year, to open holes for the next recruiting class.
Still would love to know the story on Tyler Gerald. Expected him to be a large contributor on the OL this year. He hasn't participated in Mickey Marotti's winter conditioning program, makes me wonder.
I think many of the ballyhooed recruits soon find out, all those stars afilliated with their name only lasts till they arrive at training camp and then it's starting from scratch, top man to the last man on the roster have to prove themselves. If they can't, it's decision time.
Urban is continually accused of exploiting the system, by what appears to be gross oversigning, but every year they seem to hit the numbers on the head.

Poetic justice shows itself in the Ohio State opener at Indiana August 31st, with former Indiana head coach Kevin Wilson on the Buckeye sidelines calling the plays on offense. Think there may be some personal incentives and emotions boiling inside our new coach that day?

One offensive player that has me excited is J.K. Dobbins. With all do respect to Mike Weber, can't envision Dobbins on the sidelines very long. J.K. Dobbins is the next star running back fpr the Ohio State Buckeyes.
it was a sign of failure to me he was a starter last year
Neither have I, for that matter. I expect to see Weber elevating his game this year, but expect less carries, due to the talent on the sidelines with J.K. & Domario McCall. Weber has a limited dimension, whereas J.K. can do it all with great field vision, deceptiveness, good hands catching the ball and ability to break the long one. Antonio Williams finds himself at the bottom of the depth chart, talented, but needs to find his niche on this team, beyond special teams.

Just watched a highlight of the Alabama game 2014. I didn't give CJ enough credit. That dude made some serious plays with his feet and hit his targets downfield on a consistent basis. He was the game changer. Poor JT, he just can't get it done in the big games.

My exact thoughts when I watched replays of the Bama game. Cardale was totally at ease, totally confident in what he was doing and totally focused in that game. Cardales passing had the Bama defensive backfield back on their heels, opening up the tuck and run and he was a load to bring down. This has absolutely nothing to do with JT however. The man was injured and unavailable and that's that.
