Willard has never played Danbury. I don't know if Willard ever played Lakeside in the 1920's or 1930's though.
If Willard wins that will be 3 in a row, the last time Willard won 3 in a row was in 2003 when Willard won 5 in a row during a 5-0 start to the season.

Danbury’s in the upper 20’s for numbers but we’ll see how a years worth of beatings changes that.

It's official The Soccer Program continues it's rise to future State Power with a fine 9-5-2 regular season campaign. Once this silly Football Program is disbanded then the Soccer program can reap the rewards of some talented players that should be playing Soccer and not Foolsball. That Cooper Parrott would make a mighty fine Soccer player, hint, hint. While the Football team is playing tiny one room 1880 style schools like Danbury, the Soccer Program is taking on real schools like Mansfield Senior. According to the OHSAA Willard High has about a buck 50 of boys to choose from and the silly Football program (which died a long time ago) keeps attracting a bunch of curious boys to it as they want to see what a dead program looks and feels like. Bury it so their curiosity will be gone and they can all focus on the main sport in town, Soccer. These fine young Soccer Studs have scored points for Willard this year Omar Gomez Avila 37 pts Joni Moralez 37 pts Joan Hernandez 13 pts Ruben Vega 11 pts Jose Lopez 10 pts Arian Cuevas 7 pts Jonathan Delgado 5 pts Manuel Diaz 4 pts Carlos Mazariegos 4 pts Eduardo Diaz 4 pt Guillermo Davila 3 pts Josue Lopez 2 pts Luke Stain 2 pts Jahir Moralez 1 pts Shout out to some great keeper play by these goalies Emmanuel Esparza 31 saves Julian Gonzalez 14 saves Eyby Monzon 3 saves A lot of Spanish names. Hispanics make up 30% of the Student body which comes out to about 50 boys. So these 50 boys are rolling with the likes of Mansfield Senior, etc, they sure could use some help from the rest of their classmates. Just think how fantastic the Soccer team could be if the 100 other boys would join these 50 fine young men? Calling all RB's, QB's and WR's to join a future State Power, the Willard Soccer Program. The Soccer Arena is going to be amazing. Join the Soccer Program and become an instant winner and forefather of the future State dominance that will soon follow. Once silly football is out of the way Friday Night Soccer will be the hit of the town. Friday Night Soccer Tailgating at Willard high will be the talk of the area. This is going to be amazing so don't miss out. Football is on the way out, Soccer is the future. Live it Love it Soccer is great

Fantastic job last night Flashes. You stayed focused and did what you were supposed to do. You could have easily went through the motions and won 30-20 and patted yourselves on the back for winning, but instead you did what good teams do and took care of business in the proper way and not the lazy way. 5 wins now, one bite at a time. Next up is Calvert, these guys are good and they score points on everyone. They are going to score points on you so don't get down when they start putting up points, that's what they do, they're good. Stay focused on each and every play, do your assignment, and understand they are still going to score so don't hang your heads when they score. You guys are going to have to score with them. Think of this like the Plymouth game that you won 38-35, Calvert is going to score so to beat them you are going to have to score. Keep your heads up, stay focused, ignore the naysayers and take it one bite at a time. Go Flashes.

61 is the most points in a game by Willard since Oct. 24, 2003 when Willard beat Galion 73-0.
50 point games in the last 75 years - (1943-present day) 73 - 2003 vs (0-10) Galion 66 - 1953 vs (0-7 in NOL) Crestline 64 - 1958 vs (1-7-1) Vermilion 61 - 2018 vs (2-6) Danbury 56 - 2002 vs (1-9) Galion 56 - 1999 vs (2-8) Galion 55 - 2000 vs (0-10) Bucyrus 55 - 1999 vs (0-10) Edison 52 - 1967 vs (?-?) Warsaw River View 50 - 1991 vs (0-10) Upper Sandusky
The last 2 weeks Willard has scored 44 & 61 for 105 combined points in back to back weeks. That is the most combined in back to back weeks in the last 75 years and maybe even the all-time school record. In 1928 Willard scored 73 vs Garrett, IN and I don't know what they scored in the game preceding.
Most points in back to back games in the last 75 years - (1943-present day) 105 - 2018 (44 vs Fremont St Joe, 61 vs Danbury) 100 - 1953 (66 vs Crestline, 34 vs Norwalk) - Willard went 6-3 99 - 2002 (56 vs Galion, 43 vs Shelby) - Willard went 10-2 96 - 1999 (55 vs Edison, 41 vs Margaretta) - Willard went 10-2 94 - 1991 (50 vs Upper Sandusky, 44 vs Tiffin Columbian) - Willard went 8-2 92 - 1990 (48 vs Tiffin Columbian, 44 vs Norwalk) - Willard went 11-1 91 - 1968 (48 vs Tiffin Columbian, 43 vs Norwalk) - Willard went 7-2
not in the last 75 years but I have Willard's 1935 schedule done 91 - 1935 (66 vs Attica, 25 vs Bellevue) - Willard went 9-1

Live it Love it Soccer is great Willard boy's soccer schedule includes: St Pete's, co-ed Old Fort twice, Lima Temple Christian. I wouldn't throw stones regarding the football program playing Danbury when two of your games were played against a co-ed team. DM let us consider your plan of canceling football. Are you aware that football, boys basketball and girls basketball are the only three sports that make money for the school. Football financially carries almost every other sport in the school. The respectable football record of 5-3 is paying for your beloved soccer program to exist. Boy's soccer doesn't even have gate to pay for it's officials. IMO Mr. Eicher was asleep at the wheel when he allowed soccer to ever start at Willard during his time as AD. As you so clearly pointed out the soccer program gained traction because of Willard's 30% Hispanic population. Let's see if we can get a thousand people to a soccer game and pay some athletic department bills then we can talk about killing the "already dead" football program.

Ignore the hate guys, they hate on you football players, they are coming on here and hating on your classmates that play soccer. I posted something on another thread about our outstanding girls tennis team and they hated on those girls. Willard Girls Tennis team just won the SBC Title for the 2nd straight year and all they received was hate from outsiders. So much hate out there, ignore it and stay focused on Calvert. Calvert, Calvert, Calvert, that's what this week is about.
