D4 Region 14 Quarterfinal - Saturday at 7:00
Huron is making their playoff 18th appearance and Van Wert their 4th. I'm a little surprised to see this is Van Wert's first appearance since 2000, when they knocked off Bellevue in Week 12 and went on to lose the D3 State Title game in 2 OT's to Canton Central Catholic.

I'm thinking this could be a fun road trip next Saturday. Leave Huron by 12:30 pm for Millbury Lake Volleyball regional final game, Providing #3 Huron beats #2 Liberty-Benton Thursday night. Then, drive down to Van Wert, Stopping somewhere in between for supper. Glad the OHSAA let some of the playoff football games be on Saturdays again. So some of us blue collar workers can attend them.

Where is thier field? The satellite image I saw near their High school showed stands on one side only, making me think that maybe they don't play there.

This looks like a good test for the Tigers but I'm confident Huron wins by 3 touchdowns. Tony Perkis (TCU scout) has scouted Van Wert he said they have a couple fat offensive lineman and a few athletes on the outside. Said they should have no answer for Paul Hinckley up the middle.
I can also officially put an end to the rumors. Ryan Pickett will NOT play for the Tigers next week he reached his limit last night on the geese. He has been unreachable in the fields and marshes.
Go Tigers

He hasn't reached his limit; there are 2 geese he's yet to get. Best of luck to Tigers against the Cougars

Huron has to play better than they have recently. Friday night Huron looked really bad. Huron scored 24 points off of 4 Edison turnovers. It doesn't look like Van Wert is that strong so Huron could possibly make it out of round one.

I'm not saying they'll be state champs, but this team is playing at a high level on both sides of the ball right now.

I agree the Tigers need to elevate the level of their play if they want to win this game . Mainly the offense. Per a reliable source, Huron may deploy junior Paul Hinckley (TCU recruit) at quarterback and run the wildcat formation. I think that will help Huron tremendously and keep VW off balance. Close family friend Joe Eitel loves the Tigers in this one as well.

Van Wert 17 votes to Huron’s 4
The tigers are going to surprise some people. I stopped by Tigers practice and the team loves being the underdog. Ryan Pickett even stopped by practice to play center on the scout team. These boys will be ready.

Pickett will do anything to get some guy to put his hands between his legs, not that there's anything wrong with it.

I know this as the Tiger faithful were chattering about how you, Mike, and Beverly (the donkey) had only just made it past Fostoria. Why do you lie? As for the game, Huron has only beat one team over .500, a Toledo City League team. They lost to a up and down Sandusky, a good Oak Harbor team, and Port Clinton. Van Wert has beaten 7-3 Bryan and 6-4 Kenton (this year's Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde), but I put a lot more credo to their WBL schedule than those two wins.

I have been attending at least one Tiger practice per week since I was in school. You're a new kid on the block, because I have never heard of you or seen you at Huron Memorial. I usually go watch Thursday practice and share a few Power Weenies with the team but with had to come on Wednesday because of prior Thursday engagements. And Mike and I already have our ride lined up for Van Wert on Saturday. Hopefully your nursing home offers a shuttle there because we all know you know longer have the privilege of driving. Stop by Knucklehead's and ask for Dump on Saturday, it's conveniently located next to your home at Admiral's Point. Mike and I will be there. Go Tigers

Go Tigers I've kept my mouth silent for this whole time, but the only thing more unoriginal than the Tigers mascot are your stories. I've been a regular at Tiger practice since the early 2009s, mainly on account of the soothing red and gray color scheme. You have long been the laughingstock of the others before it was revealed that Beverly was your only recourse for attending the game on Saturday. Tell me how Findlay is when you make camp tonight. As for going to Knucklehead's, I stopped going there once Mike spread his weasel flu all over the bar. It used to be a good place, but I won't risk drinking that swill if it means getting his weasel flu. Also, it doesn't take a real forensic scientist to see that you have been hiding your true fandom since the beginning. Look at the bolded letters, you'll find that message in quite a few of dump's postings. It is a shame I had to reveal your secret on this forum, but I can't peacefully spend my remaining days recalling the time you lost an arm wrestling match to a 98 year old like myself when you can't even admit to your true self. It's ok, I have a few numbers you can call when you have the courage to announce it yourself. Drew Pasteur has Van Wert by 12, but his website tends to underplay margins to make more accurate picks for close games versus predicting wide blowouts.

Van Werts losses were to Wapakoneta and St Marys the co-champs of the WBC Van Wert finished right behind them.
The WBC is historically a tougher conference.
Hate to say it but it does not look good for Huron fans.

I don't frequently attend Huron practice due to my busy work schedule but I will swing by from time to time when I get the chance. I have also attended every Huron game except one since 2009. I can say for certain I've never heard of you Shelby. Your sources and connections within the ranks of the Huron faithful pale in comparison to mine I'm sure. I'll be at the game Friday as I always am and will be at the concession stand at the end of the first and third quarters as well as half time. I will be purchasing another Coca Cola to mix with my Rum. Why don't you find me and we'll talk football?

You misread me, no doubt because of the poor reception you must be getting out there near Findlay on your donkey. I do not attend Huron games as a matter of principle (never been to one, not even the glamorous 41-0 defeat by Shelby last year or the unfortunate loss by Shelby this year). As far as my sources go, I believe that a comedian shouldn't have to tell others they are funny, the results should show on their own. Likewise, I am sure your "sources" and "connections" would have spoken for themselves by now. Suffice to say, I only ever heard about you when the OBC fell to its knees after that contagion of weasel flu took hold.
Even if I were to go to the Huron game (I'll be taking in Clearview and Highland in support of a good friend of mine), I wouldn't approach someone with such a knackered immune system like yours. I'll wait for the Center for Disease Control to clear Knuckleheads before I think twice about talking football with you.

Yet you claim knowledge of the Tigers? Get a grip Shelby your dementia is kicking in. Or is it the 60 year old virgin flu? Are you sure you know what your talking about? You won't step into knuckleheads because you are scared of Dump and I. You can admit it Shelby your secret is safe with me. You and your buddy Williard Fillmore can stop with the excuses anytime.

You read me right. I have unorthodox methods, but they have gotten me far in this life. I never claimed to have knowledge of the Tigers, I just attend their practices (something dump can only falsely claim). And the virgin flu? Stop making things up. That must be the weasel flu talking. Or maybe you must be delirious after four days of riding Beverly in this rain. I'll step into Knuckleheads the minute dump admits he is the Margaretta fan he has been this whole time and if you promise to use the deodorant that Old Spice so desperately passed out during the closing hours of the OBC. I'm not risking my health because you have given up on yours.
