I see you had no comment on 2015 as OHS had the POY in the district, beaten their opponent in the regular season yet failed to advance.. Showing your ignorance again. It WAS NOT "District POY". It was District 6 POY. That DISTRICT 6 POY averaged 13.5 per game. A down year for players that year. INCOMPLETE Info from LOSERS of debates. Ontario beat their opponent in OVER TIME that year. The tournament game was OBVIOUSLY considered a toss up.

In 2014 I believe Norwalk was a better team however Ontario failed to see if that was the case as they fell to an inferior opponent in Lex who lost their next game.. Showing your ignorance again. How does loser of an OT game in the regular season become an "inferior opponent" when they play in the Tournament?? Ontario was #1 in the state in D2, beaten a Norwalk team that hadn't lost in 3 years basically. Yet Ontario wasn't a clear favorite vs a Lex team that the next game got bounced by double digits vs Perkins who lost to Norwalk by double digits a couple nights later. Rewrite

Not sure what your talking about above Out of your stupid 5 years that was the ONLY year Ontario was the favorite. Soph Jayrese Williams and Sandusky out played Ontario and won by 2 that night. Upsets happen. AGAIN, Norwalk was 0-4 against Sandusky and Ontario that year. Are you betting Norwalk is getting be upset Wednesday?

Bottom line favorite or not Joe is WAY overdue to advance in Division 2 beyond districts and this year he has a team that hasn't lost in 2 months other than a 2 point loss to the TY tigers. Do I think they beat Norwalk personally I don't, however I also have seen them not perform in the tournament.

WF you tend to make points for people, we get the fact that Ontario has been D3 more times than D2. However in the past 1/2 DECADE plus they have been D2, and obviously by their regular season record (noted prior)and have failed to advance. I would think you would agree they have had some pretty good teams (including a #1 AP ranked club that BEAT the eventual state champion) yet NONE of those teams got to regionals. For instance Norwalk was D1 two years and in one of those 2 years they made it to Regionals... The chance is there this year they just beat what most considered the FAVORITE to advance in Lex, so wouldn't this be an EXCELLENT opportunity for Joe to break the 0fer with a HOT team playing a weak one seed in Norwalk??? We'll see this week As for trading wins for the TITLE. WF answer this truthfully No, EVERY school can do nothing more than play in the Division that the OHSAA puts them in. You might like to, but the OHSAA does not confiscate Tournament Trophies when a school moves up a division. You think Ontario should upset Norwalk. OK...I'll give you Ontario and I'll take Norwalk for $100. BTW Ontario lost to Lex by 7 during the regular season and lost to Norwalk by 18 during the regular season. Why wasn't that taken into consideration in who "most think" is/was the favorite in this Distict?? AGAIN...since you ignored this once. How many times in the history of post season play has the 8 seed beaten the 2 and 1 seed in the first 3 games of the tournament?

Sorry I didn't mean to have this thread highjacked simply stating facts about the regular season successes Ontario they has culminated in D2 tournament failures. As I have pointed out, Ontario only "failed" once of your silly 5 years. By definition to fail means "to not obtain your goal" which in every case or year is to advance in the tournament. Why in 2016 when they lost to a Sandusky team they split with in the regular season would you not consider OHS a favorite in round 3???

If 0-10 with the success Joe has had is not failing IYO then so be it... When Norwalk failed in tournaments I didn't consider whether they were favored or not it was just a failure...

Please, AGAIN for your well being. DO NOT place bets in a sports book. You would be in the poor house in no time. Since you never consider records of teams, who the favorite is, head to head meetings. More ignorance. Only wanting to consider 30% of a coach's career. Balogh has 7 District Titles and 5 District Runner Ups. You promised to stop the hijacking yet you continue on. Never believe any promises portwalk makes, he's obviously ALWAYS untruthful. Now would be a good time to stop, before you look really bad and it might keep you from having a stroke.

Speaking as a Vermilion native and follower, I’d much rather have a pointless, protracted internet argument about the relative strength of schedule of Ontario’s 2014 team, but hey, that’s just me.

This! This is why I quit coming to this sight when I lived in Ohio. Its exhausting trying to find talk of actual game talk and the teams left in this district. Cant you 2 just exchange phone numbers and text or call each other? Be so much easier for everyone involved.

Tybee I try however say the wrong thing and pages later it’s still rolling. Very evenly matched games with teams that are left with Ontario coming around the last half of the season only losing to Mansfield. In talking to the people that have seen a lot more of these teams than I. They believe Norwalk and Mansfield play for a District title and it should come down to coaching and how they defend Haraway. The regional should be the weakest in a while so should be interesting
