Sandusky is on a roll. Huron is looking for an identity.
That situation does not bode well for the Tigers.
It will be over by halftime.

Same result, probably even uglier for both Huron and Perkins (@ Bellevue). Iv'e seen both, I think Bellevue may be little better than Sandusky, Not by much. Gonna be great week 6 match up (Sept 30th) at Strobel, Bellevue @ Sandusky.

Sandusky 27 Huron 16, Sandusky had some discipline issues. Early in the game #6 for the Streaks was ejected for stepping on the head of a Tiger that was already tackled and trying to get up, Just one of quite a few penalties against the Blue Streaks, Huron is getting better though.

By the way, Sandusky did not get fed last night. The "H team" rule now is: We feed the opposition only if they are from more than 30 minutes away, And, IF we can get some of the "Moms & Dads, willing to help out with that. Which is starting become a huge problem right now in Huron, Trying to get people to inconvenience their lives to help out, and be involved. We are having a tough time getting people to participate in the pre game rituals, such as running and waving our H flag, or squirting the fire extinguishers (simulating smoke) for players to run thru, Seems like many have lost interest in Huron football. But thank you to all of those who remain involved and are still trying to keep it going. Team feedings after games might becoming a thing of the past in Huron.

This situation was starting during the end of the Legando era. But, with a new coach and another upcoming losing season it may reach epic number of "no shows" . The Thursday night team feed was filled with some new dads. Thank God. because the old guard has left the building.

Huron football conversations....
1. Can we feed this team tonight? 2. Where's all the H-team members? 3. Think the stands will be full tonight?
The new head coach must be loving life. Can he still get his baseball job back?

What's going on in Tiger town? Reading the posts on here, and talking with several of my friends from Huron, two of them who are parents of players, it seems like Huron has lost interest in football! Has the mighty "H" team fallen? Is Legando leaving the reason? Are the people in Huron simply "fair weather" fans who only support the team IF it's winning? I've been attending Perkins games for almost twenty years, and I'm proud to say, the Pirate fans are THERE every game, away games included. The stands were full, even when the team was struggling with many 4-6, 3-7 seasons. Can it be that the whole "Huron IS TIGER TOWN" is simply smoke and mirrors, like the Wizard in Oz? Where's the Tiger pride? You know, the team can get in the attitude that "if the fans don't care, why should we?" You DO NOT want that to happen. I personally know two young men on this team. They're great kids, PROUD to be playing for the Tigers, and they're already feeling this way. That will destroy a program. Whatever the problem, I hope the people in Huron will get out and support this team. I hate to see this happening. These young men play their hearts out, win or lose, and they deserve your support. But, as I said, the people I've talked to are a little worried. I normally wouldn't care, because I'm a diehard Pirate fan, but I'm pretty fond of a couple young men on this year's team, their parents are close friends, and I feel sorry for them. They still have a lot of Tiger pride, and they're wondering where everyone elses' went. C'mon, Huron, get out there and cheer for your team!
If what I said makes you angry......GOOD. Get angry enough to prove me wrong, and get out and support your team. They deserve it. Then, I'll be HAPPY to have been wrong.

Its the new wave of parents, they dont want to do jack . You had the same guys doing the same things for years. those guys moved on nobody wants to step to the plate with a bat in their hand. we have a few (very few) returning to help. guys like D-shop , SV still there. a few others from years past. but its becoming a long lost cause. but its upsetting that a once proud program has people backing away. it sucks ***

If you win, the casual/local football fans show up.
If you stink, it's the parents, grand parents, and the band parents leave after half.

What exactly does the H-Team do?

The H-team is a loose knit group of fathers of players and former fathers of players in most cases. There are some men who have no children involved in the program that also help.
They provide a team meal after Thursday night practice. They take care of equipment and cloth for the team. They are in charge of making sure all necessary items are loaded, packed and delivered to away games.
They provide assistance to the athletic director in helping getting the stadium ready for game night. And are available to help the athletic director or coach with any requests prior to and during the game.
They provide cleats for those boys who can't afford them. They provide direction and moral support to those team members that do not have this available to them by their family.
In short, they try to do everything necessary to support the young men in the Huron Football program.
I have been apart of this organization prior to my boys being involved the the football program and have continued to help 14 years after my sons have graduated.
I look froward to my commitment each season.
Go Tigers.
