Seeing that the rosters aren't technically active until 1st pitch if season, can we discuss having the ability of to place minor league eligible players into minor league status during or immediately following the draft without having a demotion penalty? I intentionally drafted players (onto active) that are eligible for minor league status, not thinking my team would be charged w a demotion. And seeing as lineups aren't live yet wouldn't it give owners more freedom to draft younger players to put away in minors without being penalized w a demotion? #pronkrules

Example, I needed to promote Ryan Healy, so drafted Palka to fill his slot in minors...but that is my "mid season" demotion? I likely would have also cut other minors players before season started and drafted minor league eligible players to place into minors.

I don't like the idea of changing the rule. Ive drafted guys at least 3 years that I knew I had to use my 1 demotion on. I dont really want to add more movement to minors. It can be difficult enough remembering the rules we have.
With that being said though, I'm not opposed to letting you have a 2nd demotion for year one since you are rebuilding by far the worst team.

My opinion on minors demotion, I'm not in favor changing the rules for minor eligible players out of the active draft either. Although I possibly could be talked into a one year waiver.

Yeah, that's the kind of rule change that would have needed to be made before the draft started so that we were all on the same page going in.
Though I'd be on board with TIG's suggestion of giving him a 2nd demotion for this one season.

I’m not in favor of changing the minors demotion rule either. There’s a reason or two it’s set up that way and it has worked pretty well since the start. There def is a strategy as far as ‘when to promote without potentially losing your player’
With that said, I do think we will vote today on giving SOX an extra Minors Demotion. After talking with him, I know he drafted a player/players on his Active with the intention of moving to minors before the season began. Our rules take some getting used to and plus, the commissioner probably didn’t do a great job explaining To him how it worked.
I’ll get the pills up when I get to work. The Sox one will go up first just cause I want that one sorted out before I run waivers. Any other trades will also be voted before waivers processes

*with the condition of that extra minors demotion being that he must use it before opening day

Also, it’s worth noting, unless it’s absolutely needed, we avoid making rule changes at any point between league opening email until Rosters Locked.
Generally for things like this, a player petitions for a vote and we vote on a possible rule change for the following year. Usually happens during the playoffs.
For example, late this year we will vote on possible rules changes for the 2020 season

Actually I have to push it back to 4ishPT, I’ve got a meeting I have to do.
Doesn’t matter anyways, it won’t let me take players off waivers today. The unclaimed players will all be FA tomorrow morning(I assume)

Nice to see the matchup pages and schedules up
Question for CEO, when it comes to the 2 non-division teams that we play once per season and the 3 non-division teams we play twice per season, due you rotate those each year? (not that anyone would notice if you didn't, I have no idea who I only played once last year)

(not that anyone would notice if you didn't, I have no idea who I only played once last year) I dont think I rotated them last year, and I didnt this year. IIRC, it was a hassle getting the schedules aligned. If we need to we can go back to rotating them, I just avoided it due to the mess

Manual Waivers: Team Waiver Move Active or Minor SOX Daniel Palka OF CWS Demotion SOX Ryan O'Hearn 1B KC Minors TIG Dustin Mays P LAD Minors BELL Luis Patino P SD Minors SITH Michael Chavis 1B BOS Minors DRT Jacob Junis P KC Active
With those moves, The ODC is now invalid. Please use the Minors Roster file from now on.
All players have been promoted.
All League Fees are in.
I believe everyone is under roster size.
However, it is IMPORTANT that you review both your Active and Minors Roster. I am human, I make mistakes.

Also, even though the Waivers is set at 1 day, and even though I tried to make them available now, the current FA will not be off of waivers until Thursday

Just to be clear. Active roster cannot add players until Thursday. Minors Roster you can start adding now without submitting waivers. Just post your tranny in the Minors Transactions Thread on ESPN

And Sith is a jerk. Keller wasn't on his minors for odc Ah, so that explains it (as it turns out he belongs to STRO) It did seem a bit odd that he was the only a guy ranked in the top 30 or so prospects that wasn't showing up on the ODC, but it seemed worth a shot to put in a claim for him. Guess we should have checked the minors roster.
