one thing i always say about this league and i will re-iterate it after looking back over the draft, my manifesto, and some conversations with sith... ...there is NO SUCH THING as a sleeper in this league...if you are on a guy so are 3-4 other owners and you better draft him if you want him like right now +INFINITY It's never too early to make a move on a player.

Can anyone find the trade block on the league page? I don't believe myself to be a complete moron but damn if I can find it.

...and that brings me to another thing we always look forward to, CEO's new team names and logos
Though good luck getting that square peg logo to fit in ESPN's round hole display
What I did with mine was make a version with extra white space around it to keep the edges from getting cut off by their stupid circle outline

lol. I had a hard enough time to just get it to show up, period.
So much so, that I may not even try to change it

Nevermind, I got it.
The circle is still stupid though.
And seriously, how they gonna take the trade block away?

If I recall Cbs was a little more pricey than Fantrax. Fantrax also had a free version that included keepers and minors when we tested their website out. I was also slow drafting on Fantrax in my other league while on vacation and it was less hassle since I can just go to a draft room and not look at multiple spreadsheets for every pick

Cbs baseball commissioner program is awesome. Total freedom to set up custom league, unreal minors system, custom rules and scoring, history of league stats is great, etc. Would be about $12 per owner. App is awesome too..... espn blows!

CBS says $149 if you get it in a promotional period, 179 at other times.)
I guess the question is: Do we want to lose almost 30% of our prize pool?
Tbh, I don’t like the sound of that.
Do we want to pay $750 over the course of 5 years just to say we’re not at ESPN anymore? Don’t get me wrong, ESPN has some issues, but 30% seems high. Maybe if it were a 200$ league it would feel more justified.
I’d prefer to stay free, and for 100% of our league fees to go to the prize pot

Figured I'd try to get a little action out of this Japan game, so I put in a waiver claim on Jay Bruce last night just, on the chance that it might go thru before game time this morning.
I didn't know what time waivers processed, so I got up at 5:20 so I could add him to my lineup if he was there. Nothing had happened and everyone still showed up as being on waivers, so I canceled the claim. Then I refreshed the players list around 5:29 and everyone showed up as FA's. So I quickly added Bruce (before the game was showing up as started) and went to insert him in my lineup....but he wasn't on my team roster, and still isn't.
The transactions show that I added him at 5:30, he no longer shows up on the list of FA and searching for him will show him as being owned by me, but as of right now he still isn't on my roster page. I guess he's in some sort of ESPN limbo. Perhaps it's because it registered the add as being after the start of the game, and maybe he'll show up on my roster as soon as this game goes final. Still kinda odd.

Ichiro just walked off the field for the last time. That was cool to watch. Just too bad it was for defensive replacement rather than for a pinch runner after getting one more hit.

In regards to CBS:
My question is, have we had $750 worth of issues over the past 5 years?
Granted, the minors is more convoluted than it could be, but the minors system has went decently smoothly with all things considered.
I have a hard time saying we even had $50 worth of issues.
Put another way, do we want CBS to have the highest profit in our league by $260 over 5 years? With the next closest being $490 away?
Assumingthe league were to normalize over the next 5 years, that puts CBS up $1500.
Minors can seem tough to deal with, no doubt, but IMO no where near $750 of inconveniences

Yeah, he's there for tomorrow, and I was late if there's a 5 minute thing (and was probably still late in real time)
I wonder if I had left the waiver claim in place whether or not I would have actually had time to move him from the bench to my lineup. Might have been the only possible way to do what I was trying, depending on exactly when the waivers processed.
Oh well, it's only 1 tranny out of the apparent 14 we get for the opening matchup.

I agree with CEO. ESPN isn't great, but its workable and free. I'd rather not give away money.

I'd rather deal with minor inconveniences than pay for marginal improvements. Other than SOX, we are all familiar with the minors format and we execute with minimal problems.
I'm sure we will develop/evolve how do the "trade block".
