I think this may be the game to gauge how far Perkins has moved along from past few years.

I think this may be the game to gauge how far Perkins has moved along from past few years. I think it would also be a decent gauge of what is to come next year, or the year after. A lot of younger kids playing. Tai Carter has been waiting his whole career for this year. Nobody has ever doubted his talent, his body shape and size made him too big to run the ball in 5th an 6th grade, and from there on out he kinda got stuck with the linemen until last year when Perkins RB Butler transferred to St Paul. If they want to win, Tai will have to continue to put up big numbers, which I think he will. Perkins’ O-line should have the edge in this game. Winning will also mean that Perkins’ young secondary will have to stop Brown, a tall order. I’m hoping Perkins wins, but if they don’t, I think it’s going to be a lot closer than everyone is thinking. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Perkins does have a pretty big line, and I'm with you; this game will be closer..... dogfight status, IMHO.

Unless Huron turns the ball over 3-4 times they’ll handle Perkins.

our best advantage would be to get a couple score lead and make them do what they don't want to do and that is throw...

I think that Huron will win because they will be the more disciplined team, I think it will be a grinder of a game though were being disciplined can make the difference.
Huron 35 Perkins 27

IMHO, this will be a toss up game. An untimely turn over, or penalty, could decide the game. Special teams will play a big part. Haven't seen Huron play this year, but they always put a good team on the field. Hoping for a Pirate win.....it's been awhile since we've been competitive.

I am bribing my 7yr old to let me go to the game with her tonight, so wish me luck!!
Perkins can do themselves a big favor by winning the time of possession battle. 3 yards and cloud of dust type mentality will help.
Hopefully the kids confidence is sky high and they can play a great game.
It would be nice to see them get a victory on the 20th anniversary of the ol' pie-rats winning a state championship.
27-21 Pirates.

Pirate fans......back to reality.........we won't win another game this year. Also, can someone tell the Perkins coaching staff that blocking is allowed in football? Seems like thay don't know how to do much of that.....blocking, that is. The defensive line is pitiful. The Tigers ran through the middle of that line all night long.

Perkins QB has a pretty good and accurate arm. you're so right...great arm,,he is accurate...now if he puts a little air under his throws he is going to be so deadly... question though,,what is up with the turf? i mean to come home with rubber pellets is expected,, but the grass to go with it...field is going bald.. i'd be on the turf company for answers ...

Noticed that myself. Looked like the field was falling apart after the rain. Tigers played a nice game. Wish them luck the rest of the year.

Back to reality sounds about right, sounds like they played a good first half, but caved in the 2nd half like the pirates of old.

Congratulations Tigers. Played a solid game tonight. Zebras missed a pretty significant holding call on your first TD drive, but in the great grand scheme of things, it wasn't going to matter too much anyways. Good luck the rest of the way.

Nice celebration of the '99 team last night, Should have invited the Ironton coach too. Looked like Huron had as many fans as the Pirates did, even with the celebration. Many fans left when the rain came, Perkins was charging the fans for re entry, For going out to their cars for their wet weather gear, Even with having the ticket stub ? Bull poop on that ! No thanks, We went home.

Should have invited the Ironton coach too. I haven’t laughed that hard in awhile thanks for that. That was one of the all time great choke jobs and it gave Perkins an opportunity and they took advantage.

They won't win another game this year. Finish 3-7 with six straight losses.
