Last year Norwalk won 52-35 in week 7 and 20-17 in week 13
Sandusky fans will be the first to enjoy the new visitors bleachers at Whitney Field (assuming the post about their construction beginning last week was correct, and that they will be finished in time)

As I mentioned on Region 10 thread, the winner of this one will clinch a playoff berth. Also, should Tiffin beat Clyde(which they are favored according to Pasteur), winner also will have some possession of SBC Lake.

A healthy Sandusky would still not be enough to beat Norwalk in my opinion. Norwalk defense will contain Stewart and make passing the game beat them which Sandusky just doesn’t truly have at this point. The line of scrimmage will be a battle but I say 31-14 Norwalk.

Having seen both teams including Sandusky prior to Aaron’s injury. I feel very strongly that Sandusky would win and win comfortably. With Aaron gone and Stewart hobbled that completely changes the equation. If Sandusky is going to win they will need their defense to show up big time.

Redskin, honest question, why would you feel Sandusky would win, and comfortably? The simple answer is that I think Sandusky can contain Norwalk on the ground and has the athletes in the secondary to keep them in check. Offensively I think Shonsai Aaron had progressed enough as a passer to make Norwalk pay for selling out against the run. Once Sandusky is able to do that (if ever) they’ll score points in bunches against anyone in our area.

Aaron was such a huge loss for Sandusky.

Aaron makes a huge difference. We saw that against Mansfield. Having a QB who can pass the ball efficiently and pose a threat in the run game makes a difference in how teams play Sandusky. I don’t think any win against Norwalk would be comfortable but it would be more likely. Norwalk is too good a team to put away easily like that.

Norwalk did not impress me in the Bellevue game Friday. I think if Bellevue had everyone healthy and playing the entire game it could have gone either way.
Sandusky will more athletic on the perimeter and that can give Norwalk trouble.
I think Sandusky wins this in a close one
41-38

Every team has injuries, good teams deal with it, next man up, and find a way to win. Norwalk wins this, by 14+, with or without the injuries.

Right, because if OSU lost Fields and his back up, plus had JK hobbled, they’d be just as good. It’s not an excuse. It’s a fact. With that said, I’m still predicting a Sandusky win. I think Stewart will be healthy enough and Franklin, with another week under his belt will be able to hit some passes he needs to hit.

I knew that post would get a rise out you. I get your point, and it is valid. If Norwalk is sluggish at the beginning, like they seem to be prone to, and Sandusky can get 10-14 point lead early, the Truckers might be in trouble. Otherwise, I'll take Norwalk by 14.

If we are honest , this year and possibly next will be the only opportunity Norwalk will have to beat Sandusky in my opinion.
Go Truckers , that is all.

After this year's Sophomore Class(my oldest is one), the talent seems thin(I have a 7th grader as well). Hopefully, the younger group develop by the time they're upperclassmen.

Yes the Sophmores class has always been Good, winning a State Title as 6th Grade JR Truckers, There Senior year they will need a QB , Next year the line will be all made up of mostly this year sophomores ie Jr's nest season. There are pieces and parts in the lower grades but After the sophomore class, the other classes as a whole will be a challenge . Coach Fox will really have to coach with those classes, we really need them to develop. The depth we have this year will not be as deep.

"State Title as 6th Grade Truckers" that's about the time they start getting hair on their legs. and we all know that's important to you when evaluating young talent.

And how many teams did they have to beat for that "Title"? If not 6 as it is in high school it's not apples to apples. BTW you're showing your ignorance. It wasn't important to me, important to Rob Sheldon and only when it came to the last 2 players out of 20 in Junior High BASKETBALL.

Really , They have Tournaments when the kids are younger, you dont even know what you are talking about. We are on football, has nothing to do with Basketball.

YES really!
I know what I'm talking about, YOU obviously do not.
"Tournaments" for teams when younger than high school age are not sanctioned by the OHSAA. ANY "team"(having nothing to do with a school) can enter, many choose not to. How can it be a TRUE "State" Title when in it's history no team south of Olentangey has participated and 90% of teams have come from north of Norwalk?
I didn't bring up basketball sport2478 did.

All we are doing is making the point ,that the Norwalk Sophomore class has a lot of promise to be good after this year when the Senior class moves on.

if i was the truckers knowing the blue streaks dont have a good passing game is put up 8up in the front and make sandusky beat them with their passing game. norwalk is pretty balanced run and pass so lets see how special teams play. i look for norwalk to win.

Sandusky’s only hope to win is to limit penalties and to keep the Trucker Defense honest. If Sanduskys D keeps drives alive for Norwalk by committing asinine penalties, and if Sandusky’s O can’t keep Norwalk from loading the box, then it’ll be a long long night for the Streaks.
