With continuing talk of realignment and expansion across High School, College and Professional sports, why not just make it yourself?
Here you can create leagues and conferences the way YOU want it.
Just have fun with it, leave the serious stuff for a different thread

I'll start with how I would change the AFC's glaring geographical problem
Changed Teams in Bold
AFC North Cincinnati Bengals Cleveland Browns Indianapolis Colts Baltimore Ravens
AFC East Baltimore Ravens Buffalo Bills New England Patriots New York Jets
AFC South Houston Texans Jacksonville Jaguars Miami Dolphins Tennessee Titans
Also, here is what the BigTen SHOULD look like
East Indiana Michigan Michigan State Notre Dame Ohio State Penn State Purdue
West Illinois Iowa Iowa State Minnesota Nebraska Northwestern Wisconsin

Baltimore Ravens AFC NorthBaltimore Ravens
Buffalo Bills New England Patriots New York Jets All 4 of your AFC North Teams are further east than 3 of your AFC East Teams. (You also have Baltimore in 2 divisions, I assume the one is supposed to be the Steelers.) Just rename the North to the AFC Central and shuffle 3 teams, which, minus the Division name change, is what I think you were going for. AFC EastNew England Patriots New York Jets Baltimore Ravens*Buffalo Bills AFC CentralCincinnati Bengals Cleveland Browns Indianapolis Colts*Pittsburgh Steelers AFC SouthHouston Texans Jacksonville Jaguars Miami Dolphins*Tennessee Titans AFC WestDenver Broncos LA Chargers KC Chiefs Oakland Raiders NFC is already pretty set up geographically, outside of maybe a DAL and CAR swap. Also, Football is the least important, in regards to travel, of the 3 major sports in basing divisions on geographic location. NBA is pretty setup already, but could rename the Southwest Division to the South Division. According to the census bureau, none of those teams are even in the West. MLB isnt bad, but you have to feel bad for Seattle having to fly 4 and a half hours to HOU for a division game, 4 hours to TEX, ~3hrs to LAA *edit: Apparently the Angels travel the most

not really that surprising regarding NBA traveling more, since they have 41 stints at away facilities compared to roughly 27 for baseball

Seems like a nightmare to try to figure out how to do it tho...and I have a hard enough time scheduling our fantasy league

I amazed with scheduling done by NBA and NHL because many cities share the same arena for each sport.

Get rid of divisions within college conferences

Get rid of divisions within college conferences The era of mega-conferences has necessitated the recent concept of divisions. I would like to see a mandated breakup of these mega-conferences, by imposing a 10 or 12 team limit. As it stands today, five conferences have total control and influence. More conferences would be a good thing. Eliminate the giant conglomerates, we have allowed to develop.

Really the reason that divisions came up was to have a championship game ($ec)in football. Really isn’t any reason to have them in any other sport. Hell the ACC divisions aren’t even geographical based.

I knew I was forgetting somebody. USF in, Georgia out. I think South Carolina and GT would be willing to leave their Conferences to join this Conference.

My ideal high school league as to not have the SBC Lake anymore Ashland Bellevue Clyde Norwalk Perkins Sandusky Shelby Tiffin Columbian That would be a solid conference, but Ashland is 51 miles from Sandusky, 50 miles from Bellevue, 51 miles from Clyde, with an average travel time of at least an hour. Galion & Shelby are geographically conducive to Ashland. Perhaps Fremont Ross, Milan Edison or Willard in the mix?

The SHOES conference (Sandusky, Huron, Ottawa, Erie, Seneca)
The county seats of all 5 of those counties, plus the 3 largest schools not in a county seat (including one whose district is in 4 of those counties)
Fremont Ross Norwalk Port Clinton Sandusky Tiffin Columbian Clyde Perkins Bellevue

Tiffin Columbian Sandusky Norwalk Perkins Fremont Ross Ashland Mansfield Mansfield Madison This would be ideal as well from a competitive standpoint. If people thought the current Lake is tough, this takes the cake.

^^^^ Nobody wants Lexington? I'd be fine with Lex especially if no minds MAC/ WBL-style format with less than 3 non-conference games.
