Go Pirates! Has Ontario been competitive in their losses? Who've they played?

I think that ontario could come out a winner in this game. Yes Ontario has been competitive against Clearfork and somewhat against lex. However I believe lex and Clearfork would beat cardington easy. So I'll take Ontario in this one.

Hawkins has to get Ontario to believe they can win at the start of games.
Lexington 24-6 at halftime, final score 24-6. Lex should have beaten Shelby week 2.
Clear Fork 21-0 at halftime, final score 21-14. CF beat Fredericktown 42-7 week 1.

Ontario was up 6-0 at the start of the Lex game. I think they felt they could win.

Ontario was up 6-0 at the start of the Lex game. I think they felt they could win. Tell us at what point of the 1st quarter that happened. Tell us what happened the rest of the 1st Quarter. Tell us what happened in the 1st Quarter of the the CF game

It was the start of the game. They were up 6-0 and thinking they could win. Exactly what you said Hawkins needed to do.

Tell us when at the start of the game? Tell us how Ontario played on all other 1st quarter plays?. Tell us how Ontario played in the 1st quarter against CF?

Uh dude, probably at that moment when the scoreboard clicked from 0 to 6 for the home side was when the Ontario kids could have thought "hey, maybe we could win this."
Obviously the rest of the quarter went crummy for your guys, but he is referring to that moment they went up 6-0. It ain't that hard to infer what he means, unless you are really so boneheaded (stubborn, there's a word) that you can't fathom the point he is making.

Uh dudette, as a team, believing you can win at the beginning of a game has to last more than a "moment". AND, "maybe we can win" is not the same as believing you CAN win. Scooty's inferences per usual are poor at best. His point was pointless other than to put down and be boneheaded.

Dudette. Ok pal.
You are both right. A 6-0 can inspire hope in a newly coached team taking on a fairly highly touted Lexington squad. It also requires some staying power to achieve the attitude that a team can win a game. I think you are smart enough to not be insulted by everything someone says because you read into it so damn closely. The semantics and wordplay is not worth the argument here.

At the beginning of that game the Ontario player thought they could win. When they went up 6-0 their thoughts were reinforced. But that game is over. The question is do they feel they can win at Cardington.

Ok So let's Really take a look at this game. Cardington has started out a house of Fire. Beating a Down Worthington Christian Team (Known for Soccer not Football). And a Galion Team that is not as good as teams in the Hawkins era. Ontario Started the season and had there only lead after 10 seconds against a senior laden Lexington program who gave Shelby everything they wanted and more. Ontario week 2 Clear Fork put it on them in the first half only to see The Warriors come back and make it respectable. My opinion is that the Warrior's will go into Cardington searching for a way to start strong but will come up short again. the only thing that may help them tonight is if it is a downpour of rain and Cardington can't throw the ball. Final score
Cardington 35 Ontario 21 No Rain
Ontario 21 Cardington 14 Rain

Final score Cardington 35 Ontario 21 No Rain Ontario 21 Cardington 14 Rai I'm not sure rain favors Ontario. They out scored CF 14-0 in the 2nd half, almost exclusively due to their passing game, even though there were 6 wide open passes dropped. They might have preferred to run the ball, but CF put 7 in the box VS their spread. The adjustment wasn't made until they were down 21-0.

Ontario stopped cardington on the Ontario 3, then made a long drive to score. 2pt conversion was good.

Ontario opens third with a score. Cardington answers and then Ontario scores again. Next possession Ontario picks off the Pirates for another score.
Ontario up 46-20 6:40 in the third.

Congratulation Willard on Ontario's win. I was sure the they wouldn't win but last week I took a very hard hit in my predictions. Don't worry yet cause I'm gonna make a great come back this week.
