I'm curious if North Central Ohio has ever had 3 schools play in the State Title game in the same year? Depending on how you define North Central Ohio you could include Clyde, Mansfield Senior and Lucas. Also, I wonder if an 8 seed has ever made the State Title Game before Clyde did it this year? I saw that St. Eds made it as a 7 seed last year. I hope to do some research this week but was curious if anyone already knew the answers.

St. Henry won as an 8 seed in 2004. Only one to do it thus far

* If a school made the finals they are not also listed in the final four This years schools are not listed Bellevue is considered Sandusky County; Fostoria not included County | Champs | Runners-Up | Final Four | Sandusky | 2 | 3 | 6 | Erie | 1 | 3 | 10 | Huron | 2 | 4 | 6 | Seneca | 2 | 2 | 4 | Richland |
| 2 | 1 | Crawford | 1 | 2 | 1 | Ottawa |
|
| 4 | Wyandot | 1 |
| 1 |
To determine which county is "the best" I'll use the following: 5 points for Champs, 3 points for Runners-Up & 1 point for final four County | Score | Huron | 28 | Sandusky | 25 | Erie | 24 | Seneca | 20 | Crawford
| 12 | Richland | 7 | Wyandot | 6 | Ottawa | 4 |

Fostoria presents an interesting case as to whether or not they should be included, because while the High School is in Wood County the football field is in Seneca County, and their numbers would bump Seneca County to #1

Adding Fostoria would add another 21 points to the Seneca score

Which county are you counting St. Wendelin for?
Their High School was in Hancock County and they shared the Seneca County football field with Fostoria.
So either both Fostoria schools should count, or both should not count.

I reverted the original post to it's original scores without either Fostoria school

Mansfield Senior and Lucas are the first Richland County schools to play in the title game It was just 2 years ago when Shelby became the first to play in Final Four. More than anything, Richland County had been known for solid Basketball tournament history.

1990 had both Sandusky schools, and unfortunately, in their last games respectively, they blew at least 14 point leads. Moreso painful for SMCC who had 17-0:lead heading into 4th, then Bobby Hoying and Co. did their magic.

It looks like you don't have the 2019 teams in your numbers. The 2 Richland county schools aren't there so I assume Clyde and Oak Harbor aren't in there either?
