a lack of game does not indicate a post game Their "lack of game" got them a scholarship to Ohio State as a post player.

Back to the simple logic that currently there are 2 players with an Ohio State scholarship that call themselves and play like post players. Then there was Ken Johnson and Greg Oden.
Look at the videos of these players in the 247 Top 50 for 2020 and tell me if they're "post players". Cliff Omorugi 6-10 230, Mady Sasso 6-9 230, Hunter Dickinson, 7-2 255, Walter Kessler 7-0 245, Day'ron Sharpe 6-10 245. No shots made further than 5 feet from the basket.

With today's focus on perimeter offense and perimeter defenses and the total infatuation with launching a mind numbing percentage of three point attempts, the low post has become a lost child, in today's game. Simple physics comes to play, as long shots produce long rebounds, further diminishing the need for a monster in the middle. The NCAA is attempting to counter this degradation of the game of basketball as we presently know it, by moving the line further and further out and expanding the paint. Personally, I would love to see the 3 pt. shot done away with altogether. The game would change for the better and become a balanced, inside/outside game once again and defense and rebounding would regain it's rightful importance.

Arguably the highest awarded college player in the country this season was a power forward. His stats show he made 78% of his shots inside the and only 13% outside the 3. He shot 39% from outside the 3 and still took almost 80% of his shots from inside the line.

Those Top 50 players, all of which are post players, were signed by college basketball Blue Bloods. If you were a college coach and had one pick to start a team, would it be a healthy Greg Oden or one of the MANY very good 3-point shooters in the country available every year.

all my 5-year old shots are from 5' in too Could he get a scholarship to Duke, North Caroline, U of M or Michigan State today? That's where those Top 50 players I mentioned, that can only make shots close to the basket signed.

After his 2 year LDS church mission, he walked on an Utah State. Last year as a red shirt Junior and his first year as a full time starter, he averaged 5.6ppg, with 38.2 FG% and 29.6 3-point shooting %. At 25 years old he'll be by far the oldest player on the team.

Walker looking to go pro. I'm guessing it is exploratory in nature and will be wearing a Buckeye uniform. I'm disappointed where this program sits at the moment, given my high hopes and expectations for coach Holtmann.

Walker looking to go pro. Unbelievable what an Isiah Thomas complex some above average 5-11 college players have. I can see why Carton no longer wanted to play with him.

He’s doing what Wesson did last year, just seeing how he grades out. Holtmann was on 97.1 and said he fully expects Walker back.

Says the baby Kitten?
Your analogy compares an Ohio State FOOTBALL 4 year starter to an Ohio State BASKETBALL player that would have been a career backup if the starter had not left the program.

He was playing behind a true freshman. His big break came when Carton's mental health issues took a turn for the worse. I'm realistically hoping Walker has a long financially rewarding European career.

Just read that 3 in 10 D1 basketball players transfer at some point in their careers. It’s not a Buckeye problem

Francis is the second Tar Heel to enter the transfer portal this month.
Backup forward Brandon Huffman announced he was transferring to Jacksonville State.
