Whitney Field has looked like a rock quarry for a couple of months now.

All turf fields are backed up... the covid 19 situation shut down the manufacture in Georgia that makes the turf... Huron was to begin june 1st..it actually began june 22nd.. completed july 9th.. (complete removal and replace) Maumee Bay Turf Center which is doing both Huron and Norwalk right now is down in Grove City Christian High School,, they will be done there at the end of the week.. They're hoping to start norwalk on the 20th.. and would be good to practice on August 1st if all goes well... Maumee Bay does great work!

Norwalk has begun the installation process of the turf. The complex is really looking nice. New concrete walkways. New entrance. And they've expanded the parking lot and are working on that as well.

Are they putting in new bleachers? That's already been done within last 3 years I e.visiting bleachers halfway through last season.

I would like to see a new Press box at Whitney. Maybe that will arrive to fruition someday.

Just heard this week . . . the parking lot will be paved. Thank you to an anonymous donor who is taking care of a big part of it and the school board who will pave the parking area near the bus garage.

The new scoreboard is in and ready to be installed. The complex is looking very good. Paved walkway all the way around the track. South entrance by Main Street has a paved walkway, graded that slope. New main entrance off the parking lot. A huge shout out to the contractors and volunteers who worked together to make this happen! A lot of work has gone into this project and we have noticed you guys. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I noticed today while taking my son to practice the busses being stationed at the Middle School for time being.

The new field at Whitney looked nice on the stream last night.
Was kinda surprised to see "Truckers" in one end zone and "Flyers" in the other with an "N" at midfield. I guess I was expecting more of a Don Paul/Strobel approach regarding the on field representation of the two schools.
