I do wonder if and what kind of program Willard will have in 5 years. The 1 win seasons need to stop for the kids sake, they work hard for months just to get smoked. Dumbing down the schedule will help, but even Plymouth owns us.

I know what your talking about Scarlet! For it was just the other day, I was talking to both the past and present coaching staffs and both told me how much they try to purposely lose games just to spite the hard work the kids have put in prior to their seasons. I asked the coaching staffs about starting 5 sophomores that are not really ready for Friday nights and several Juniors that have not played football before. In addition I asked them about the VERY important losses of Spencer Parrot and Chad Mahl. They just laughed and said who cares about winning. Basically F the community and the kids. As for Plymouth, Willard should of destroyed the Senior laden Vikings despite the obvious immaturity of the Willard kids. I'm sure the Willard staff had an awful game plan that assured they would lose. In addition,I hear Willard has a great 8th grade class coming up. I'm sure the current coaching staff will try their best to both destroy and run off these talented kids as well because we all know Willard and the coaches LOVE to lose. Oh, that includes the Basketball staff as well...Horrible...should of been fired when the board had the chance! Now back to reality. I assure you there has been improvement. As I look at the schedule, there are possibly 3 more games this team can win. Realistically, did anyone really think the Flashes would come out this year and go 5 and 5 or better. Honest people thought maybe 3 at the most. Wise up people, success is not about X'S AND O'S...its about JIMMY'S AND JOES!

I don't look for PC to look past this game on their way to the Perkins matchup next week. They will want to strike early and often and get off that field healthy.

PC could look ahead to next year and they aren't losing this game.

From what I've read about Willard's passing game, there is a starting point for success in the program now. Compared to the past. Next should come a concentration on defense in general and tackling in particular. Being in the River Division next will year should put them in the position to win some games. Which is critical to pull up a struggling program. Ontario will miss playing Willard. Win or lose, good facilities and good people

I do think you'll see some improvement, but it'll take some time. The new offense couldn't be more opposite of the one run last year. It seems as though there are a lot of players on the roster that didn't play last season, so it's an adjustment for everyone. And let's not forget, this year's schedule isn't exactly easy.
Look...I spent a lot of time watching Norwalk struggle year after year, and seemingly decade after decade and I think I know how Willard fans feel right now...frustrated. There is no overnight fix. Having said that, next year's schedule should help a bit. All I can say is give the coaches and the kids some time, and let's see what happens...

Noss may have a different view now. Since he has not had a Jimmy every year.

Noss was and is a great one. He misinterpreted a few of my posts over the years, if any fault he had it was a touch of sensitivity to the 'internet'. Similar to concerned citizen. I simply made a post wondering if Willard would have a program in 5 years and he/she assumes it was a coach attack. This staff's not been in place long enough to question let alone attack.
This is a tired act in Willard of paranoia and defensiveness, which is why a lot of old fans of the program are walking away.
My post had nothing to do with a coach, a player, crossfit, unlicensed booster concession stands, hidden American flags, scandals, Thunderbolts or Touchdown Jesus.
Just saying if the 1 win seasons keep rolling in and out (along with the concussion fear and the general dying of school spirit in the area) Willard faces a possibility of not fielding a team years down the road. So, yeah the 1 win seasons for the program's sake do need to stop. No Jimmy or Joe in the world would argue that.
Go Flashes

A workman like performance for PC. Get in, take care of business and get out of town with no injuries.
Willard has a ways to go but they need to trust in Coach DeVier. Britten is a good coach who will get the ship righted if he's given the time.

Injuries have really hurt a lot. Right now two starters are out(one for the year) and then last night Daub didn't play the whole second half. And Mahl missed a couple games.

Willard isnt the only hs team to suffer injuries.
Also losing to Plymouth is never acceptable, and when it becomes acceptable it's time to let Drug Marts soccer program take over.
However RB I know why you post the way you do and it's worked out well for ya!
(Jk I'm happy it did)

And then possibly 3 more injuries today during the freshmen/JV games. Willard isn't deep enough to just say "next man up".
