D4 Region 14 Round 2 - 7pm Saturday
This will be the first time Bellevue and Galion have met since 2010, the Tigers final season in the NOL. Bellevue leads the all time series 42-20-5.
This is Bellevue's 20th playoff appearance (18-19 record with 3 regional titles and 1 state runner-up) This is Galion's 10th playoff appearance (5-8 record with 1 regional title and 1 state championship)
Both teams lost in the regional quarterfinals last year.

I’m thinking the Galion/Bellevue game in 2010 was something like a 16-7 win for Bellevue. Galion’s last trip to BAF resulted in a win in 2009. This will be a tremendous challenge for Galion. The SBC Lake is imo the strongest top to bottom conference/division in D4. Bellevue has a wonderful tradition and Coach Nastoni has done a tremendous job there for the last 30 years. Galion is playing their best football of the season now which is important. I think Bellevue will win, but Galion will keep it closer than most would give them credit for.

I'm not particularly buying the Galion hype in this game. Now, I know Galion did reasonably well against OG in the playoffs last year and that my only viewing of Galion this year was under less than desirable circumstances for the Tigers. Just a hunch, though.
Either way, this game carries a lot of potential as a barometer for MOAC vs SBC. Apparently Edison had injuries/missing starters against Clear Fork? That would make that game's results less reliable.

I’m thinking the Galion/Bellevue game in 2010 was something like a 16-7 win for Bellevue. Galion’s last trip to BAF resulted in a win in 2009. The 2010 score at Heise Park was 22-6 Bellevue. The 2009 score at BAF was 54-33 Galion, to clinch an outright NOL title. Man was that ever a crazy year on NOSF...all the drama in the threads about Upper and Galion leaving, and then Galion runs the table in football.

I can only imagine the intensity of some of those discussions on NOSF at that time. I didn’t make it there until 2011 when the NCC imploded and remember some really passionate discussions on the topic then. The craziest thing about Galion run the table in 2009 was that the NOL was the weakest it ever was in recent memory. Galion got the #1 seed in R14 and a home playoff game and got completely annihilated by Eastwood.

Is that cable tv? Or is that something that can be paid for online? It’s not looking like I’m going to be able to access tickets so I’m hoping to be able to watch it at home.

Is that cable tv? Or is that something that can be paid for online? Both actually. They have single game streaming tickets for $11.99, and here's more info: bcsnnation.com/football/

I'm going to go March Madness style with this game, the Shelby game, and either Huron or Clyde. My HDMI splitter is finally paying dividends here.

Pretty much have to know someone that has he code and not using all their allowed tickets. Schools have none all sold online through ohsaa. I was able to find someone for an extra ticket for my oldest that’s up for the weekend.
Go Redmen!!

A reporter at Dewine's press conference this past Thursday really railed on him and his Lieutenant Gov for not doing anything about the many high school football games across the state not following the crowd size directives.

Good game so far. Galion shooting themselves in the foot. Bad snaps, bad exchanges between Qb and RB kickoff returned for a td. Hopefully they can clean that up. Looking forward to a great second half!

Fremont announcers pretty much stated Redmen OLine manhandled Galion. That has to please XBP.

Bellevue’s line had their way with Galion tonight. That QB for Bellevue is a heck of a runner and with that kind of blocking, he drove the final dagger. Galion looked tight tonight and completely killed themselves with all the bad snaps. Bellevue is the real deal which I figured they would be. Bellevue and Shelby look to be on a crash course for each other.

Fremont announcers pretty much stated Redmen OLine manhandled Galion. That has to please XBP. So did they have the usual 99.1 announcers call this game on 92.1, while the 92.1 guys were in Wauseon to call the Clyde game on 99.1? I'm currently traveling and missed the first half, but was able to follow most of the 2nd half via Twitter and scorestream and didn't bother trying to stream the radio broadcast on my phone. In other news, the final score of the 6-man game I found on the radio yesterday afternoon was Cheyenne Wells 66 Seibert High Plains 38. There were a lot of long scoring plays, including a back to back kick off return TD sequence, and some interesting rule differences (15 yards for a first down, 4 point FG, 2 point kicking PAT, 1 point end zone conversion)
