I read a tweet that Ontario should have finished 4th because one runner was contacted traced and didn't run Saturday and she should have been allowed to run.

Ontario girls would have easily finished 2nd instead of 5th if their #1 runner had not had been "contact traced".
Last year she set a Freshman Mile Split record at the District and Regional meets and finished 22nd, the 2nd highest place by a Freshman, at the State Meet. She also was last year's National Junior High Champion in the Mile Run.....by 20 yards. Her converted time would have placed her 4th in the 1500 meters, the week before, at the high school State Meet.... as an 8th grader.
