With the girls draw today the state has not released where the Regionals or State games will be at. Since the Volleyball state tournament was hosted at Vandalia-Butler HS we will see the same thing for basketball. In NW Ohio Division II-IV the Regionals have been at Bowling Green and probably will be moved to a HS location. DI have been either at Akron or Toledo. Does any know why the DIII Norwalk District was moved to Shelby? Is it because Norwalk will host the Regionals? Who has some thoughts where do you think the Regionals in NW Ohio will be hosted by. There are a few schools that could host that would fit what the state is looking for. Enough seating to spread people out, Lockerrooms for four teams and for the officials, scoretable space, a sectiion for the media and parking and ways to control the crowd since the will have a double session. Finally what HS in the Columbus area will host the State finals?
Here are some schools I think that could do it
Mansfield Sr. Fremont Norwalk Defiance Willard Madison Galion Findlay Lexington Ontario
These are all guesses but with how crazy this year has been anything can happen and I could be wrong with everything

With all the construction of the new Ross High underway, I doubt they's want to try to host a tournament in the old building right now.

Regionals at these following schools would be great:
Perrysburg Defiance Rossford Lake Central Catholic
Massive gyms, bleachers on all 4 ends. Adequate locker rooms, scorers table space, and media room.
Some other outside chances:
Fostoria Findlay Bellevue (decent space/seating if I recall) Napoleon

Even with a separated time of games to allow emptying and cleaning can be done this season.

Why wouldn’t the OHSAA go bigger for regionals. It seems ticket sales could be a percentage of the gym’s capacity. The bigger the venue the more people can attend.

My initial thoughts: Lake Central Catholic
Liberty-Benton Findlay Fostoria (maybe)
Norwalk Willard Port Clinton (maybe)
Mansfield Senior Lexington Ontario

The state/OHSAA has set the maximum fan capacity at 15% or 300 people, which is less. So even a much larger venue has a max of 300. This could make the options interesting because we could see regional and state sites selected for location instead of seats.

Wrestlers can wrestle, but not shake hands before and after matches. They actually printed that in a press release. Did someone there read it back out loud before releasing it?

Officials can't raise the hand of the winner of a match. The wrestlers put their own hand up, which makes it look like they're saying hey look at me.
Politics rule the day.
