The Urban Meyer coaching tree has 14 assistants that have become head coaches. The latest is Chris Ash. What helped Ash the most in his quest to be a head coach? His 2 years at Wisconsin and 1 year at Arkansas working for Bret Bielema or his 2 years under Urban Meyer? It's obvious what Ash's plan is to build a "program" at Rutgers. He has 7 former Ohio State aides on his staff, his defense is exactly the same as the defense he was a part of at Ohio State. He has adopted many of Meyer's off the field strategies in areas of motivation and leadership. Was Rutgers' 14-7 loss to Iowa a fluke or is his plan for Rutgers starting to work already?
If not for Rutgers injuries, I don't know that Ohio State could cover the -37.

The 58 scored against Rutgers is the most points scored against a Big Ten team in 36 year.
12 different WRs caught passes for Ohio State.
669 yards for Ohio State. 116 for Rutgers, an average of 2 yards/play. Only 33 passing yards.
Iowa?? Has there ever been a worse defending Big Ten Champion?

An interesting factoid that came out of Urban's press conference today. All eleven starters on offense graded as "Champions". Among the 11 starters were Parris Campbell and Terry McLaurin.
