Like I’ve been saying, something about Stroud just doesn’t make me feel like he’s the man.

If we have no confidence in our qb, which it looks like to me, bring next guy in now. We play akron next, so give him some reps

Henderson is like a thicker Robert Smith. Just fantastic.

Henderson was about the only bright spot.
Also, what happened to Miyan Williams?

Like I’ve been saying, something about Stroud just doesn’t make me feel like he’s the man. Let McCord get some series in next week, see what he looks like. I’m just not impressed with Strouds inability to elevate himself and yes I’m not forgetting he is a 19 year old true freshman.

I don’t get either why they can’t just give Mccord a few series just to see how he does.

The negatives aside, today we witnessed a record breaking effort from TreVeyon Henderson. I'm already tiring of everyone saying he looks like this player and he looks like that player. When it's all said and done, TreVeyon may establish himself as the greatest RB to ever wear an Ohio State uniform. He has great speed and runs with such efficiency. He makes precise cuts at the precise moment and uses his God given speed. No dancing feet here. He's a great runner, but also a very smart runner. A Great combination.

I don’t get either why they can’t just give Mccord a few series just to see how he does. No head coach/QB guru worth anything does that in a close game. My most miserable year watching Ohio State football was when John Cooper played both Stanley Jackson and Joe Germain at QB. Half the team wanted Germaine to be their QB the other half wanted Jackson. You can imagine which half want which QB. There was a palpable dissension on that team. You think this team has issues now? You have no clue how bad it could get

Like I’ve been saying, something about Stroud just doesn’t make me feel like he’s the man. I think I figured out your problem. It's his facial features. He has a larger upper lip that comes to a point and it sticks out over his lower lip Making him look like he's pouting or about to cry. A physical malady, don't make fun of him for it.

Henderson was about the only bright spot. Also, what happened to Miyan Williams? Mistake one was the press anointing him as the starter when he got reps with the 1st team during summer camp. THEN he expected to start every game and get the majority of reps. When the far superior athlete Henderson got the start this week he pouted. MUCH worse could happen if Day started juggling QBs.

Willard,
If Stroud doesn’t get his act together, because let’s face it his stats may show he is doing well but reality says he isn't, when do the coaches make a change?

Willard, If Stroud doesn’t get his act together, because let’s face it his stats may show he is doing well but reality says he isn't, when do the coaches make a change? Ask Head Coach/QB Guru Ryan Day if you can be his QB coach. I trust him FAR FAR FAR more than any of us nobodies. This nobody KNOWS that coaches only make a change when they are 100% certain the back up is better than the starter. AS was done today at tailback.

Is OSU really this bad? Defense still has no clue and stroud looks like a qb who folding under pressure I don't know if they're this bad, but what I saw today was many playing and coaching scared. After losing to Oregon and having their ***** chewed all week. THEN watching film and actually seeing how bad they played. THEN seeing some starters being replaced. THEN seeing coaches being dressed down and having responsibilities altered. Have you ever worked at a place when heads rolled and big changes were made? That was the closest I ever came to getting an ulcer. About the only 2 players that weren't affected were the punter and field goal kicker. One's from Austrailia and the other played for North Carolina last year. Neither understand the pressure of playing at Ohio State and neither are really football players. It will get worse before it gets better. NO ONE fooled me, thinking what HAD to be done would have an an immediate positive affect, before it would scare the shat out of many. As Ryan Day so eloquently pointed out this week, "I can not be worried about hurting anyone's feelings". I knew he meant worse than that.

Mccord is actually a better QB than Stroud. Arm and accuracy is way better, just going with Stroud since he’s a year older.
Two players I just don’t know why they get so much PT is Eichenberg and Shaw. Do either of them give the defense anything? Both of them constantly out of position, we can’t be the only ones seeing that are we?

Well I I guess it’s a good thing, I don’t coach. Because if I were in that situation I would have put McCord in for a series or two. Sometimes these kids need to realize their spot isn’t saved or guaranteed.

Coaches play worse players purposely to make their teams look bad and lose games. WE nobodies only see games, where the professional coaches see 1000's of hours of practices.

That’s cool but mccord is a better QB, if Mccord was the sophomore and Stroud was the freshman, Mccord would be starting.

Have you seen the buckeyes defense? If we made Tulsa’s QB look good I’m sure our own QB’s look like All-Americans!!

Did you listen to what Ryan Day said? After being unable to stop Oregon's running game, their number one goal was to stop Tulsa's run game. Last week the Oregon QB completed less than 50% of his passes AND that was never being rushed or even touched. If Ohio State would not have been terrible on run defense against Oregon they would have easily won.

It was also interesting to find out after the game that Matt Barnes was calling the defense today and not Coombs. Definitely saw more blitzing.

Yeah the only problem is when they needed to pass for a first down the buckeyes made it easy for them. Buckeyes had not one but two chances to go down and tie the game and didn’t. Guess who couldn’t lead them down the field with the best WR’s group in the country….
