Prediction of the week....
Huron ONLY wins by 17, Willard keeps it within 14 for most of the game. Huron is not as good as years past...but still much better than Willard. If the Flashes lose by 40+, then we need to dive deeper into WTF is going on?

Plymouth who’s nothing more then an average Div. 7 team beat them by 36. I will agree that Huron now is not the Huron of old and far from it. Hurons 3 losses are to teams that are a combined 13-2.

Huron will win this by 40+
Far from a good team by Huron standards but this will be a good game to get their frustrations out and pad the stats + gain some confidence.
I am encouraged by some of the underclassmen for the Tigers.
Go Tigers

Even after a Huron win they will probably drop out of the top 16. Willard is winless so nothing there. Norwalk will more then likely lose and Huron will get secondary points from Genoa after they beat Fostoria and that’s it.

Do not get fooled by the 2-3 record. Losses for Huron were to Lima CC (4-1) only lost by 13. Perkins (4-1) lost by 15. and St Paul (5-0) only lost by 10.
This Huron team is still really good, I hope the flashes can stick with them and make it tight through the game, but I am also leaning toward the 30-40+ mark.
I hope I am wrong, goodluck flashes.

Willard was competetive in the 1st half, Huron had some turnovers and Willard showed some improvement, ultimately Huron wore us down and made the right adjustments at half, they are a good team, Willard should have learned a few things tonight

This is not a knock on anyone. Just facts. A coach must get the kids to buy in at the start of a tenure or it doesn't normally pan out very well. If Speller has the kids buying in he still has a shot at succeeding, but if the kids haven't bought in the losses will be too much to overcome, he needs to get the ball rolling NOW. Norman Bray in 1956L (13-7) Canton South L (28-6) Norwalk L (48-20) Galion L (33-7) Bellevue L (53-6) Upper Sandusky L (26-0) Shelby L (27-7) Bucyrus L (38-12) Tiffin Columbian L (20-16) Marion Catholic (0-9) in year 1, then won the opener in 1957 vs VermilionKade Long in 2019
L (46-14) South Central L (46-12) Plymouth L (42-14) Seneca East L (60-30) Ravenna SE L (41-0) Lucas L (45-6) Huron L (62-14) Edison L (63-28) Port Clinton L (58-38) Oak Harbor (0-9) then won in Week 10 vs VermilionBill Speller in 2021
(0-6) and gets Vermilion in Week 10 I played on the 1999 Willard team that is the last Willard team to win a League Title. Things were looking great in Willard football wise in 1999. That was Willard's 3rd League Championship in the 1990's. The future was bright, then after a few more years of success the team went into Norwalk 1978-2008 mode (but worse). I've heard the excuse from failing Willard coaches that I am to blame for why they lose because I dare post stats online. Funny how online posting didn't hurt Willard football teams in 1999, 2001 or 2002 - all playoff teams. Pretty close to the entire Willard football team was online posting stuff in 1999, then we went out and backed up our talk. Now every team pretends if a player posts online it will cause a ..... loss? Nope, that's not why you lose. Do better, get better, it's on the players and coaches not the fans. Have some pride in what you do. Whatever you do, you should strive to be the best at it. 2nd best should be unacceptable in everyone's minds. Be a Champion. Next Friday, be a Champion, beat Edison. Be a Champion on play 1. Then be a Champion on play 2. Then be a Champion on play 3. It's time to start winning. No more excuses, no blaming previous years lack of wins. It's a new year. We've dumbed down the schedule so bad over the last couple of years we've played Buckeye Central, Danbury, St Joe, Plymouth, South Central, Seneca East. YIKES. And we are getting destroyed by them. WHAT? That's like losing to a girl. Man up and start winning. You are Willard, that used to mean something. It's time to start winning. 17 straight losses. No more. Take Edison out. Watching today's reserve game the score did not reflect it but our line play was improved. We struggled in pass defence and recieving. Too many turnovers for sure. Most of the line is sophomores. Get stronger and keep moving forward.

40- 6 however most of the scores came on long pass plays. They did not run on us like others have. We would drive then there would be a turnover. We punted only twice and had one turnover on downs. I was encouraged with the lines. Much more aggressive. Overall they did not quit. I believe we had three or four interceptions with a clean pocket including two in the red zone. Multiple dropped passes. The JV offensive line has good size. Center 6'1 205. Guards are 6'2 and 6'3 230ish tackles one is 6'2 240 and the other 6 foot 185.It is the first year in the weight room for most of them.
