Today, but what happens after Georgia/Bama in the SEC Title game? If Georgia beats them twice is Bama out? If Bama beats Georgia at the end of the season, Bama is obviously in. How far does Georgia drop? Does The Committee put one loss Ohio State in over an undefeated Oklahoma?

Cincy struggled to beat Indiana. How’d Ohio St look last night against the Hoosiers? Cincy is a mid-major with recruiting classes that don’t compare to P5 schools. Cincy is #2 in the land Ryan Day is looking up at an in-State mid-major. How embarrassing. Luke Fickell has a mid-major at #2 in the land. A flippin mid-major. Luke Fickell is awesome BUT 90% of his games are against other mid-majors.

See the secondary is back to its usual self. Blown coverages all over. I couldn't resist. After Indiana's first drive their offense managed just 26 more yards the rest of the game.

Luke Fickell is an Ohio State grad Luke Fickell has a flippin mid-major at #2 in the land And fake Buckeye fans are hating on him. You fake Buckeye fans can go back to being the Michigan fans like you were in 1997. Real Buckeye fans love Luke Fickell, you give yourselves away as Michigan fans with your disloyalty to him.
Luke Fickell has a flippin mid-major ranked ahead of Ryan Day's Ohio State Buckeye's. How can any real Ohio State fan find that acceptable?
Ryan Day is not an Ohio State grad Ryan Day has allowed an in-State mid-major to be ranked ahead of Ohio State Ryan Day played prevent defense vs Bama last year - Boneheaded decision Ryan Day got rocked by Oregon in what was a 9 A.M. start time for Oregon
Luke Fickell > Ryan Day
Luke Fickell has mid-major Cincinnati ranked #2 in the land <---- That is crazy. #2 in the land. Wow. Luke Fickell is amazing.

Wow. Luke Fickell is amazing. I don't know where you are getting the idea, Buckeye fans are hating on Luke Fickell. Every Buckeye fan that I know, is very happy and supportive of him and glad he is doing so well, myself included. The only thing that I'm seeing at the moment, is your utter disdain and hatred for Ryan Day, for whatever reason, I have no clue. Cincinnati is currently #2, but don't expect that to hold up. Ohio State and Alabama are coming on strong, with increasing momentum. The Georgia/Alabama game will decide if Bama is in or out. Two losses, they are out, an upset of Georgia, definately in. The latter may not bode well for a team like Cincinnati. You can pretty much take it to the bank, the Big Ten will have a team in the final four. I don't think Buckeye faithful owe an ounce of 'loyalty' to Luke Fickell, nor should they. Right now, the Buckeyes are playing the best football in the country and hope and expect that to continue. My only hope is, somehow Fickell can manage to get his Bearcats in the final four and my greatest desire is to see an all Ohio matchup in the either the semi-final or better yet, National Championship Game. Ryan Day is doing a spectacular job as Ohio State coach. The only thing that needs to be rectified is increase in his salary, that is unacceptably low for a program of Ohio State's calibre & stature.. Day's salary is 9th in the country. I have little doubt, that will be adjusted accordingly and he will be amply compensated & rewarded, in the off season. When things sort themselves out in the coming weeks, don't make yourself scarce, because a large host of us want to continue this discussion. My guess is, you will disappear for a great while, in silence and obscurity.

As it now stands someone in the existing top four will need to lose, Willard Fillmore said as much in an earlier post and I think that's how it will go down. The keys are for OSU to keep winning and hope that Cincy and/or Oklahoma loses. With the incestuous relationship that is big money interests and the SEC I have no confidence that either Georgia or Alabama will be left out regardless of who wins that match-up. Yes, Ohio State travels extremely well but Mickey Mouse will have the final say.

No one needs to do anything to get in. There is no criteria except to be one of the 4 best teams. A team can be 3-10 and get in the committee thinks they are one of the 4 best teams.
If we run the table we will get in. We will get in over an undefeated Cincy. It's Cincy.
2023 Buckeyes shaping up to be particularly scary.
Three two a cheat code. Already the best back in the country.

As far as I'm aware, no one on the planet knows who the 'top four' is. The AP Poll and Coaches Poll is merely for entertainment purposes and possibly as a rough reference estimator. Making any pre-assumptions at this point is rather foolish. The only ranking that truly has any relevance is the Playoff Committee Rankings. They are currently, evaluating, researching, taking & comparing notes here and there and developing strengths and weaknesses, in the quest of rating the four best teams at a specifics point in time. They are not interested in what a team looked like after week #1 or week#2. They will present the four best teams in the country, on November 2nd. There will be a lot of football played till they release their final standings on December 5th. Once again, it will be the four best teams in America on that day of December 5th, 2021. Like I have stated many times before, the seven years of playoffs, only think there was one year of controversy for the final #4 spot and that #4 team proved their worth and the wisdom of the committee, by winning the initial CFP handily in 2014. Like I have said many times, play on the field, eventually sorts matters out and brings things into focus. Consequently, history proves the absurdity of a 12 team or larger playoff. They've got it pretty damn right, with perhaps a few subtle tweaks necessary.

I feel better seeing that Fickell was not up to making his team realize they MUST beat the likes of Navy and everyone else on their schedule by 40. The Committee would have a hard time keeping an undefeated Cincy out of the playoffs if they mauled everyone.
