I think a lot of lessons were learned, last year, by the Buckeye players and coaches.
Up 28-7 at the half, both teams had opposite mindsets coming out 2nd half. The Buckeyes lost their aggressiveness and looked tentative. Indiana, on the other hand, was a changed team, going all or nothing with their passing attack and our secondary people were ill prepared. Quite a momentum change. End of 3rd Qtr., the Buckeyes still had a comfortable lead 42-21, but that quickly dissolved and the Buckeyes were back on their heels and sweating bullets. Fortunately, a couple big defensive plays, put an end to this embarrassing debacle.
It kind of goes without saying, our defense will put extra focus on minimizing WR Fryfogle, as he lit up our secondary last year for over 200 receiving yards.
Offensively, great attention will be given to accounting for hard hitting and active LB Micah McFadden. Protecting C.J. and protecting the football is of vital importance. As effective as McFadden has been on the blitz, think he will be utilized as a decoy at times, if any dbl. teaming is used to pick up the blitz. I think Ryan Day now fully understands the importance of keeping the boot on an opponents throat for all 4 qtrs.
The Buckeyes have the ability to score quickly and the only negative that can be derived from that, is giving the defense shorter moments of rest. Over the course of the game, can have a compounding effect. Hopefully, we can establish an effective ground game, early on.

Indiana is starting a true freshman at qb. This may get ugly quick I'm hoping, but Jack Tuttle has shown flashes of ability, has a couple outstanding receivers to throw to, if we give him the needed time. He also has shown a penchant for turnovers. A couple pick 6's would be nice.

They have a couple of Freshmen QBs. Indiana is either moving on and looking to next year OR think they need a running QB to beat Ohio State. Ohio State has been preparing for Tuttle and now will get the opposite.

Freshman QB Donovan Mculley 6-5 200, is a 4* recruit, the #25 QB in his class. Watching his highlight video, I came away impressed with both his pocket presence and his running ability. He has a really good arm and throws a nice ball, where it needs to be. I see strong similarities to Terrelle Pryor. He definitely gives Ohio State some things to worry about. I will go on record as saying he has a very bright future at Indiana and should be a standout in the Big Ten.

There will be no Brent Venables or Physicality tonight. Thankfully, Ohio State hater Kirk Herbstriet will not be doing this game on ABC. They're at the Rose Bowl, Doing Oregon & UCLA game.

Did Henderson get injured on the first play of the game? Williamson played every down after that play. OR has the pecking order changed since Williamson is finally healthy again?

On other hand, offense apparently can score at will. Offense , at times, appears to be one of best in country.

Iowa scored 34 on that indiana defense and iowa is not a great offensive juggernaut. Osu is very good offensively but let's wait a little longer and see how they do versus a better defense.

Iowa had 2 pick 6’s in that game. Know actual facts before typing. Conversely Ohio St leads the country in scoring and yards per game. Those are facts

Fleming didn't get a single snap? Unreal.
Egbuka and Harrison Jr. are gangsters.

at times? Literally no team is close to Ohio St offensively How'd that Ohio State offense led by Head Coach Ryan Day do vs Oregon? Remember that Oregon defense was probably groggy as it was a 9 A.M. kickoff for them. Congrats to Ryan Day on beating up on Big Ten teams, what's he done in his last 2 big non-conference games. Lost, lost. That's the Ryan Day I know. Luke Fickell > Ryan Day

Luke Fickell > Ryan Day Obviously, you leave out the fact the loss you are referring to, was in the National Championship Game, with key players missing, most notably Trey Sermon. As far as Oregon is concerned, give me a break, a freshmnan QB in only his second start, but I think he had a good yardage day. Nothing to diminish his Heisman repertoire.

Stroud in only his 2nd start at QB, threw 35 of 54 for 484 yds. and 3 T.D.'s Jaxon Smith Nigbee had 7 catches for 145 yds. Chris Olove 100 yds. receiving Garrett Wilson 100 yds. receiving Ohio States 612 total yds., the most ever for a Buckeyes team that lost.

Head Coach Ryan Day's offense against #7 Oregon gained 612 yards and scored 35 points. Head Coach Luke Fickell's offense against formidable Service Academy 1-6 Navy gained 272 yards and scored 27 points. lolol Luke Fickell's record against ranked teams is 7-12

Cincy is #2 in the land Ryan Day is looking up at an in-State mid-major. How embarrassing. Luke Fickell has a mid-major at #2 in the land. A flippin mid-major. Luke Fickell is awesome
