We are seeing an exceptionally talented Ohio State team, that is brimming with confidence and focused on executing at a high level, takes on a team that is shell-shocked, questioning themselves and looking for answers, with little time to put the broken pieces together.

Pressure is on Franklin to look a LOT better at coaching than he was in losing to Illinois, if he has any hope of getting the USC or LSU job.

Pound that a55. I freaking hate Penn State. Plant a flag in the dirt and send Franklin to the West Coast. Turn Happy Valley into Nebraska East.

I can't even begin to imagine the gamut of emotions, frustrations, distractions, disappointment, anger and on and on, that this team and it's coaches are currently experiencing. I suppose you could include bone tired, fatigue, as well. First time in college football history, any team has gone 9 overtimes. Just sit and think about that one for a while. One could use the excuse; they were looking ahead to Ohio State. Well, could very well be the case, but now, they may still have the lingering thoughts emblazoned in their minds, of the Illinois debacle. So, instead of looking forward to Ohio State, this week they may be looking back to Illinois. It would be very hard to get that one out of your head, no matter how hard you try.
Think James Franklin won't be pressing his players for a variety of reasons, including his career objectives amd some semblance of respectibility? If any of the players have a hint of their coach having serious consideration of looking elsewhere, I've seen teams totally lose their will to perform for far less. (Come to think about it, that might have been the case vs. Illinois?)

I see Franklin just fired his agent and hired a new one. In hopes of finishing negotiations on a new contract, before the probable beat down Saturday night.

Do most major college football coaches deploy an agent? Really? His players are aware of this and has to affect their attitude and future committment. This also effects recruitment as well. Quite apparent, Franklin wants out and/or reads the writing on the wall.

Penn State always seems to play well against the Buckeyes, except for a few years. Will this juggernaut of a buckeye offense continue to fire on all cylinders??? I think Penn State surges with some anger, but Stroud continues to be electric and the scarlet and grey come out victorious
42-21 Buckeyes.

Buckeyes getting two depth pieces back for Penn State game
Ohio State has been dominating opponents in the last few games, especially on offense.
All that damage has been done while the Buckeyes haven’t been at full-strength, too. They’re expecting to have two key depth pieces back for the massive Penn State showdown Saturday night.
Running back Master Teague and wide receiver Julian Fleming should be good to go for Ohio State.
“We’re expecting a full week of work [for Fleming] this week,” Ohio State coach Ryan Day said. “He was available in emergency role last week, but we just didn’t think it was the right thing to do. We’re expecting him to practice this week and be available for the game on Saturday.”
With Fleming and Teague back, the Buckeyes can only get better.

Was looking at the PSU roster and noticed a strange thing compared to Ohio State, based on the historical nature of PSU Football. They currently have FIFTEEN transfer players on their roster and 5 of them came from, of all places, Lackawanna College. So I checked on Lackawanna College. They're a Junior College in Scranton Pa.

My understanding, or perception has always been, student athletes opt for JR colleges, when they are a little short on the stick, academically. They have the abilities athletically, but need to get their academic house in order. So, what we may have here is, Franklin is setting up arrangements with Lackawanna College to process borderline students and create their own pipeline? Interesting......

Buckeyes finally bring the heat, 3 tacklers force QB fumble and Deron Cage shows his elite speed for the TD...lol
They are giving Clifford far too much time, the D needs to mix it up and bring some blitzes.

I think we all need to take our Buckeye colored glass off(myself included) and realize this defense really isn’t much better, they were just lucky to play the horrible offenses they played the last several games.

The offense has also looked pathetic. No run game. The offensive line has been getting destroyed. Stroud won’t run to save his life.

OSU's offense will cover alot of defensive shortcomings but there are better teams ahead for osu other than psu

This proves Ryan Day knows what he's talking about. He said this is going to be a tough, physical game. I was impressed with PSU's line play. I can't knock our defense, they kept everything contained. kept everything in front of them and didn't give up the big play. What helped PSU, they were getting away with a lot of holding and largely, it was ignored. Denzel defended his All-American counterpart very well all game. Think we seen a dose of Tressel ball tonight. Very conservative, low risk, ball control football. I would liked to have seen more deep passes than what we saw, but Ryan was gearing things to possession ball. Most importantly, we got the job done and got the 'W'.

This is what we love about college football. It's been a few years since we seen the goal posts marched down High Street....lol

And be seems to move around well. He should have ran for it on the Miyan Williams catch/near fumble. I wonder if he is still injured or he is being told not to run or if it just ain't in him. It would really help and there are opportunities there.
